Walking In Hangars

A ladder down from the Captain's Quarters leads a pilot into his/her own capacious storage hangar. Items appear in crates and can be stacked into neatly arranged piles or strewn randomly all over as if your hangar were a teenager's bedroom.

Access to a hangar can be granted to another player who can be paid to perform menial tasks like cleaning (who wants a cobwebby hangar?) or stacking your items into neatly arranged piles. Just watch for pilferage!

Station containers are small rooms within your hangar and can be customised with ornamental items from the New Eden Store. (For this week only the 3D animated holo of CCP Rise getting podded is half-price).

New hangar oriented player-made items include mannequins for the display of your clothes and robocop, a small automated security droid which reduces player visitors chances to pilfer.

A new skill and associated vehicle, the Loader, will be introduced in a later patch but don't encourage corpies to train it because PL is expected to poach all the Loader operators then ***** about there being no one to play robot wars with.

Yes I absolutely want to see the metric f*cktons of ore, minerals and ammunition I have laying around.

Seriously what would be the added benefit of this. You'd walk around in there exactly once and never go down there again.

Because my inventory would look so much better if merely rearranged ONE MORE TIME.

Could pretend you were Smaug the Magnificent and roll around in your hoard of velspar and pyerite.

I'm right behind you

Seriously? No. The last thing WiS needs is another CQ. This is another CQ.

Get out.

We have to remember that there is a group of people in this game they are called "role players". While most of us do not care about such things as this idea the RP players do.

Provided it was an option that we could ignore in the same way we ignore the CQ, and that it could be implemented without adding to much to server lag I say why not. So given that these concerns are properly addressed I say +1.

to be fair, it would look nice

hell i remember playing mercenaries 2, and despite being almost universally worse than the first one, nothign was funner than stockpiling military hardware and cash just to see the number of missile crates, pallets of cash, and armory lockers in my base go up

If I'm going to turn CQ on again to walk into my hangar, I also want to walk into my ship! Interesting idea though if you could drive a little loader and manually fit your ship with modules and then carry the ammo up and load it into the guns.

Interesting if very shallow thoughts, if you are not aware of the differences between "players" and "role players" then it is useless for me to even try and explain it to you.
