Post edited to emphasize the idea that we could fix the Omen and make it look better WITHOUT totally deleting the right-side bulge of the ship.

Symmetry is an important part of any design. Without symmetry things might be ugly as @#$%.

Not everything on earth ofc enougt to look at wild nature. But if we are talking about handcrafted things it's a basic thing to do a nice looking design until you are in love with abstract concept or either prefer stright lines and angles.

Omen looks fine with me but if they will re-design it in the wsy of Exequrors, i'm both hands up!

I love the omen. Second only to the maller. Still if they were to streamline the tumor i could live with it. But Whining about it isn't going to help your position.

Assuming thrust is centred in the direction of travel, then yes the ship should pull of to one side.

But real life sucks for making fun things. Asymmetry is awesome.

Hey whatever they are they may look good on flying garbage disposals (also known as the minamatar fleet) or game-of-boxes (caldari). But an amarr hull with a tumor is just bad. It does not need to be symmetrical, but its asymmetry should be "logical" (like control bridge on the side of the coerces.

Anyone who says that amarr ships can have such a tumor is an unbeliever and should be purged by a beam laser (for the good of his soul).

The Omen series is freaking beautiful. I use them just to haul small amounts of stuff around EVE just because of how wonderful they look. As for that little part sticking out...well, I wouldn't want it to go per se, but it could use some tweaking. Like, make it blend into the hull better at the joint, make it look as graceful and curvy as the rest of the ship.

If someone messes with my Omen like they messed with the Blackbird, I'm gonna be pissed.

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

i agree .. the thorax has a similar thing it drags around underneath the ship.. it has too go...
it would be great if they made the omen look more like the legion .. that ship looks so cool in its basic config

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

What should I do just pray to God that some day the Omen will get fixed?

The only way it will happen is if enough people think it should be fixed. I'm voicing my opinion in the hopes that it will happen.

The old Blackbird model wasn't THAT bad. They could have tweaked it and made it really nice instead of just totally over-hauling the entire hull. But the new version is still pretty good.

Symmetry is just as awesome as asymmetry, and also, it matters not whether the Omen is symmetric or asymmetric, what matters is there is a weird, dumb, stupid looking tumor hanging off the side. The thing looks too stupid not to change it.

In general, symmetry can be more bland than asymmetry, I would have to agree.

But mostly whether a ship is bland or not has to do with the ship design as a whole, and not symmetry / asymmetry.

I think the omen is really awesome looking, one of the best looking ships, if it weren't for the drone-bay, goiter on the side of it.

The Omen looks kind of like a mini Armageddon. It's actually pretty awesome, it's just that the side-tumor really takes away from the beauty.

If they could fix the drone-bay side tumor thing, and make it look more like an actual drone bay or something, make it look less stupid, the hull would be perfect.

Everyone has an opinion. To say my opinion is less important because it is not the opinion of the majority is just downright stupid.
