The Meta of speed needs to be tuned down

Only when flying in similiar directions. Burning towards each other, and orbiting will have really high transversals.

Also, missiles ignore transversal and rely solely on sig and velocity.

Technically it's angular velocity which is the final number compared against a turret's tracking - transversal divided by distance.
If I had to choose between the two on my overview I'd go with angular each time because it's easier for me to remember my tracking speed and just compare it to the overview rather than roughly divide transversal by the distance to the target

You should have enough control over your herd of cats to make them understand. If they constantly make misstakes, get better cats.
