How about some low-sec roaming destructable concord fleets?

Roaming Concord Fleets in low sec empire systems?

These would be pre-boost Concord ships, the ones that were challenging, but defeatable.

After all, these are empire systems, but presumably there is not enough manpower to patrol it regularly enough to make it as safe as .5 and above.

They could be rare. Perhaps more common in .4 and less common in .1.

Maybe the chance of them appearing would be higher in systems where lots of player deaths were occuring.

Give them a loot table. Nothing crazy, but a chance of dropping some concord ammo, concord modified modules, and if you wanted to, maybe even a concord ship blueprint copy very rarely Big smile

The sec hit for destroying them could be higher than normal, perhaps the same as shooting a player's pod in low sec?

The concord faction loot could even be considered contraband... boost to smuggling!

So what do you think of the idea? good, bad, pointless?

I have to admit that I like your idea. Random NPC's would make this universe more lively just like the old games like X3 and freelancer. So +1 from me.

I'm all for random NPC spawns. While we are at it roaming NPC faction war fleets would be great too. Spice things up a little.

I like this.

How about a player based concord? Earn special LP for concord items and ships or something for defending people against pirates. The player being attacked have to make a distress call?

Because then we would all drown in an ocean of pirate tears.

Sure, that will be a little more challenging for low-sec roaming.

So +1

Interesting idea but I'm not so sure I'd want MORE NPC interaction and gameplay.

Player based Concord would be a griefers delight.

There was a time when players could join Concord.

I would be tempted to use those distress calls as bait, and when the player concord arrived, both the 'victim' and the 'ebil pirates' would all turn their guns on the folks coming to the rescue... so yea, player concord sounds good to me Twisted

I like it... always wanted to shoot at Concord.
