When is the next mirror?

How often are Mirror's usually? Once per month?

Mirrors happen when and if CCP needs them. Can be weeks or months. There is no firm schedule.

I think early January might bring a new mirror. But don't get angry when it doesn't happen for whatever reason.

This, and the fact that it's not just a plain copy of the DB.

They actually have to twiddle a bit (removing banned asshats and adding masstest bonus SP only being a part of it).

Sisi is first of all a tool for CCP to test new stuff and hunt for bugs, secondarely a tool for us users to test stuff (and look for bugs if we want).

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I feel disappointed that CCP explicitly stated this would be a two week mirror and discouraged long-term testing. It's very inconvenient to myself and others who wished to do so.

I wonder how long does it take to do a mirror ? I guess someone has to start it and at a later time come back to see if all went well.

If this is the case why not do it 1x per month ? I am sure CCP is able to find the time to do this as I know for sure we all have time to take a smoke ;-)

If I remember correctly, the next mirror should be this week or next week, a few weeks ago they said they had moved the sisi server to a new temp box so they could swap out hardware and put up a newer server. They should be mirroring when it goes to new hardware.

New mirrors usually occur over one extended downtime and are usually accompanied by some wonkyness for a day or two.
