As part of a series of polls i'm trying to gauge the aspects of the game people are interested in and how I can tap in to that for content creation, if you have the time can you vote on my poll which can be found at:

http://www.worldwidecontentcreation.co.uk/poll-day-indy-pvp-focused/

Much appreciated if you can.

I have to assume by "Indy" you mean "industrial" and not Indy Cars. How you phrase this, there's just these two,
your "indy" and the almighty PVP! (ooo rah).

And, THIS in the interest (should I poke-in "altruistic"?) of "...content creation...." (Who could complain?)

To me, and I'm not trying to be mean here, this poll of yours looks like you stumbled upon a way to create an online poll and you thought it'd be cool to throw one together, then run back here and show all the "bros" what internet savvy this must display.

Amirite? Oh. Poll? Pass. Thanks.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

I don't mean to make it sound like you can only be Indy or PVP, I'm simply asking those who are focused in either activities to vote so I can get a rough ratio.

To me, and I'm not trying to be mean here, this comment of yours sounds like you have nothing better to do with your time then be negative of some content someone is trying to create.

Amirite? Oh. Get Mad? Pass. Thanks.

Just a reminder. The people voting in this, is not a broad selection of the playerbase. But rather the limited group of people who reads the forums AND participate in random polls.
I belive that this group will be mostly filled with people who might be favouring one side of the poll to another.
That is all.

I agree with you man which is why I have an alt out linking the poll all throughout high sec where supposedly it's mainly indy players. Looking forward to seeing the results tomorrow.

yep so my next question will probably be how many losses does each person have on average in a week when pew pewing, that'll be for tomorrow though. See how good those that consider themselves PVP'ers actually are.

Looks like we're all entitled to our opinions! (again) +1 Vyl for his usual precise candor. -1 to this OP for...missing the point entirely. Surprise!

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Neither.
Both.
All.
Other.

?

I am a generalist.
I mine, rat, make ships, working on making T2 modules, do planetary interactions, do some market trading, haul some stuff to supply stations,
PVPing - scout, FC, logi and gang DPS.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

We're all PvP'ers, even the ones that just log in to eat rocks and build things.

I'm a risk averse carebear and also terrible at Eve and my killboard stats say I am awesome!

Seriously though, I think I've been in the game long enough that I just ended up doing everything that I find fun. I don't build, I tried to get into that but I can't seem to figure out how and when I look at it too long, I get bored. My focus is probably on combat, which I guess means PvP, if you are talking about skillpoint allocation but I can't say that I go out looking for PvP.

The only way I get involved in industry is by moving lots of stuff around, which I seem to do more of than PvP, so I guess in that regard, you could say I am more 'indy focused'.

I don't exactly know which to vote for. Maybe that happens when you play Eve too long and any kind of character specialisation has gone out the window =p

Personally I do everything. EVE has too much to offer for just doing one thing!

It probably has something to do the fact I'm a wormholer. There, it is a game of opportunities. A gas site? A Data/Relic from nullsec? A random guy who doesn't know he's being watched? New aggresive neighbours? I take them all.

and what if.....

neither O.o

lets say that OP have forgotten with this poll a big chunk of PvE branch of EvE wich surprisingly is not industrialism

a.k.a.
the poll forgets about: mission runners, incursion fleets, explorers and so on.

unless all of sudden mission runners kills player not npc's and same applies for incursions and every explorer does make exploring to get resources for indy stuff

well - for next try I suggest to get better grasp of what you can do in eve before asking folks what they do in eve.....

One day I'm 0.52843E
The next I'm light grey.

A week later I might be Deep Purple with Blue dots and a dash of Bright Red. That's EvE.

Sounds more like hashish cookies than EVE... Blink

Ezwal is right though. I have over a thousand kills to my name but right now I'm mission running to get standings for locators. Some days, I just prefer the ease of popping red crosses to chasing down other players and I'll go ratting, and on others, I might tend to my PI on my industrial alt. Yes, PVP'ers do a lot of industrial stuff as well. I, for example, build the vast majority of my own ships, fits and ammo, which is why it always amuses me when the 'indi' players come on here and say 'without us you'd have nothing to shoot with!'.

I also spend a lot of time showing newbros the ropes, although less so lately cuz I've just come back from holidays and I'm looking for a change of scenery to my usual lowsec antics.

I only play on weekends, but I would say I lose 2-5 ships a week in those couple days with 1-3 kills attached.

Am I PVP or indy related? I'm going to go with the other poster being a generalist. I like exploration, I solo roam low/null, I haul/sell the crap I find or loot. Heck I even kill rats once in a while to test how a ship feels or to set up some bait for a noob to go suspect. Just did my first fleet roam last night, that was fun. A lot of laughs were had when we all blew up multiple times.
