So have you thought of setting up a killboard or a campaign on your current killboard to track the ganks. That may help show that you guys are causing damage to those who do not pay.

I’m not a miner and I’m not trolling, but it seems hardly worth someone paying for ‘security’ that only pertains to 1 his-sec system; if I were one of those pilots, I’d just move... If you guys are such a powerhouse, why not offer to fly support/security for these miners in a low sector? You’d be able to charge a lot more and have the ability to gank pilots passing through. Plus you can still go to your favorite hi-sec system and suicide gank the miners there as you have been doing anyway…

Miners don't want to move. It means scouting new belts, making new entry bookmarks, moving equipment, possibly grinding standings with another NPC (if you refine on-site) and so on. When an op settles on one system it's more or less established for the long haul. For ice it's even more of a hassle. High-sec ice belts are far less common than ore belts.

And for pirates... every minute spent babysitting a miner is one minute not spent ganking pilots who don't pay up. To put a business spin on it, "opportunity cost".

Jude, what are the chances of you setting up a sort of Amamake PI freeport? Say 50mil a month for blue standings and 0% tax on POCOs ? I think there might actually be some interest in that sort of thing.

If your guarantee is only against not being ganked by your own corp then I do not understand why any miners would consider sticking around. I would just move and make sure I didn't sell anything within a few jumps that system.

Now if you made some incentive, as some of the others have made here, such as 0% tax POCOs, protection from gankers / flippers from other corps, low sec system protection then you may get a bit more interest and maybe have more miners moving in. On top of that with more miners working in the system it will give more competitive prices.

I personally think miners will move out of this system and those that remain will just be targetted by other gankers.

My -10.0 sec status is going to make you very hard to protect from can flippers.

As for protection in low sec the gate paid up and beat you to it.

Reality has an almost infinite capacity to resist oversimplification.

The service protects miners from our daily gank squads, which may be the only real concern for an Abudban miner.

And seeing as we've gotten almost a dozen customers already, it appears that the miners in Abudban would rather pay these reasonable prices than move out.

Isn't this in hi sec? Players cannot place POCOs in hi sec, only low and nul. Also, I don't think (assuming they set up in low sec) you could differentiate enough to have two standing settings. In other words, you couldn't charge two prices. Any miner who gets blue standing would also be blue for pi. This woukd require extra work.form the heretic army to police who goes into thier low sec, taking time away from other activities.

Also, paying for a corp to be blue could lead to a nul sec enemy slipping a blue fleet in to attact the heretic army.
