Interacting with on-screen elements by keyboard?

Hello!

Before I begin with my actual point, I must mention that I have already asked about this in multiple channels, looked through a few threads such as this one (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=387571&find=unread), and whilst some coming close, I didn't really get a clear answer anywhere, so I believe this would be the correct place to ask such a question, given there's a lot of discussion about third party software here.

I have been lately working on a small wormhole mapping assistance tool-set, which is essentially a collection of helpful doodads such as an onscreen hot-keyed stopwatch overlay, a bookmarking assistance tool, which takes the sig-ID from your clipboard and spits out a formatted wormhole bookmark name per hot-key, and an 'analyze' button hot-key for your keyboard, which clicks your mouse on the 'analyze' button in your probe scan window, just without having to move your mouse every time to do it.

So far I've gathered that I'm in a very gray area here as there's really no fine line between what you can key-bind (whether be it hardware or software programmable keys), and what you can not. However what I do know is that what I'm working on does not fall under the automatized game-play, as every one action or keystroke results in one predetermined output with no regards to client information output, nor does it fall under the input-multiplexing or accelerated game-play clauses. I personally view it as mostly just a convenience thing to save on a few mouse movements or keystrokes whilst doing long monotonous scanning sessions, however this is just my opinion and I am not feeling on firm ground with it, hence this thread. I would very much like to hear your view on the matter, as this largely impacts whether I must scrap my time already spent working on said tool-set, or if I can continue work on my little project.

TL;DR: hot-key to move mouse and click once, bad?

1 and 2 sound fine. Importantly, they are not interacting with the client in any way, only your clipboard.
3, I'm fairly certain is not ok. It even comes under the pre-isboxer ban rules:

Input Automation

Input Automation refers to actions that are commonly also referred to as botting or macroing. This term is used to describe, but is not limited to, the automation of actions which have consequences in the EVE universe.

Thanks for the reply!

I may have been unclear in stating it, but I still believe that point #3 does not fall under any 'automation of input', as it is a direct result of you pressing a key on your keyboard, without any delay. If anything, I'm assigning a shortcut to the 'analyze' button in the probe window, which also raises a side question - why aren't there shortcuts for probe scanning, and is it really against the rules to "make" one yourself?

The line of safety is:

If it touches the client, it should be entirely done by you.

Anything past that line, well, on your own head be it.

Woo! CSM XI!

That is extremely frustrating, but thank you!
