Couple of sexy questions

First one is,why sometimes when im exploring in nullsec and find an anomaly i cant scan it down?I get it down to about 85% but its almost impossible to get it to 100% unless i fiddle around with with each scanning probe which takes way too long...
I do this in imicus with t1 probe launcher so im aware this problem can be solved by better gear or a better ship,but still just curious,cause i can scan about 95% of all other anomalies but sometimes this happens and i dunno why?Cry

Second one is why do data sites in nullsec blow so hard?
From a relic site on average u get around 30 mil per site,but data site 3-4 mil,i dont understand why is there such a drastic diffrence between the two?

And third one is about lowsec gate camping...
I noticed in nullsec if a gate is camped there are usually a ton of bubbles around it which makes it kind hard to get in or out,but in lowsec i saw a bunch of gates camped,but never a bubble which makes it a lot easier to get away.Cant they use bubbles or something like that in lowsec?

First problem might fix better ship and skills.
Second problem.... They said that they improved data site loot, so you might be just unlucky...
And lastly, you can't use bubbles in low sec.

1st: **** skills and nullsec anoms are generally harder to scan than their hs cousins

2nd: datas are bad everywhere (edit: went through over a dozen datasites today in WH space and nothing was over a few million, compared to several 20mil+ relic sites)

3rd: can't use bubbles/bombs/titan doomsdays/cat farts in low/high

For the record, I predicted exactly this complaint when they announced Odyssey.

No, it's not too hard, it's actually very easy. Imagine now having to move around each probe individually for the whole exercise, not just the last 15%, and that's how much easier you have it.

Data sites blow everywhere, but they're also virtually 100% risk free with very little effort, so the reward is balanced accordingly.

No, you can't deploy bubbles in lowsec.

I'm guessing the OP does not know how to work with group and still move individual...

Wait is that even possible now?

I used to hate the way the interface was used but with the new one I can't find reasons to complain. I always attribute stuff I can't get 100% on to my really average skill now while before I was pretty sure it was a combo of my skills trained and my issue with getting formation correct for a good scan.

You can move probes independently by holding shift while you click and drag them.

I can't speak to your sanity but they can now be used in lowsec post phoebe.

As to your first question, I had the same problem. I attributed it to my skills not being up to par. THat and my equipment.

Second question, I have no idea.

And your final question, you can't use bubbles in low or high sec. Damn I hate those things. :) But now that I can fly an interceptor...

I've run plenty of null data sites and never had to move probes individually. I've encountered an unscannable sig in low but I believe that was a bug.

Exploration is hardly risk free. I've killed 2 asteros in the last week. They're like really easily spooked rats that have a 50% drop chance for SoE probe launchers. I'm probably going to start explorer hunting more often. Just watch dscan for (insert player name here)'s Astero.

No they aren't. It's a common misperception but it's flat out wrong.

Sites in high, low, null, w-space, wherever -- they all have sig strengths divided into what we used to call bands when everything used to be neatly filtered using a single DSP. For instance, low sec 6/10s were on the 0.06 band. In null, they were easier to scan and lived on the 0.24 band (along with K-162s).

The lowest band when DSPs were terminated was for 10/10s in null and some gas sites in low. High sec only had data/relics there, but regardless, the level of difficulty in scanning a site on a given band didn't change from space to space and it still doesn't now. The only real difference I see is that there's a new band for Sleeper Caches slightly lower than the old 10/10 band.

By the by, band filtering does still work. You just have to properly calibrate your visuals. I can't imagine I'm the only who still cherry picks this way.

You do know you can save probe grouping patterns.... right?
So when you get down to 0.25 you can switch to a PRE SAVED tight probing pattern to eek out those last few %
