LP store suggestion - Navy Cap Booster BPCs

This suggestion is intended as a quality of life suggestion, however it would have small balance implications in wormholes.

Navy Cap Booster charges are one of the more important LP store consumables used in PVP, alongside Navy ammunition.

Enough Navy ammunition for a couple dozen operations is easily transported if your base of operations moves from one system to another (or one wormhole to another). However, moving Navy Cap Booster charges is more difficult. For this reason many players that use standard Cap Booster charges carry a BPO with them and produce their own ones locally or in a wormhole POS.

I suggest adding Navy Cap Booster BPCs at exactly the same price point as the completed Navy Cap Boosters to the same LP stores that presently sell the actual charges. So where 20 Navy Cap Booster 800s cost 2k LP, 2m ISK and 20 Cap Booster 800, a 20 run BPC would cost 2k LP plus 2m ISK, and for convenience add them in 20 run, 100 run and 1000 run versions.

These BPCs would have the same mineral cost as a regular Cap Booster 800 BPC.

Balance implications:
- This would make Navy Cap Boosters more readily available to wormholers that have a POS in their home system, perhaps providing a small advantage to the defender in wormhole eviction fights. I expect the effect would be minimal.
- This would also make Navy Cap Boosters slightly more available in nullsec when lines of supply from empire are disrupted. Effects should be less noticeable here than in wormholes.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to -1 this because :reasons:, but in the meantime this seems completely reasonable to me and so you get a like and a +1 for it.

This would be very nice for nullsec importing. Filling up holds full of cap boosters gets old in a hurry, then people whine about stupid high margins because of the space it takes up to transport.

This is a truely excellent and simple fix...

+1 for LIFE playa...

Even if the "coalition level blueprints" dont get a bit of a discount on them for bulk the sheer convenience aught to dive the price down a whee bit...

Agree , the same stuff could be done for all of the ammo.
CCP could also create BPC that require T1 version + some PI materials to create faction one.

What is the regular cost of a Cap Booster charge?

Besides, building Faction Ships from FW BPC is usually unfeasible as the BPC cost make the ship more expensive than it's actually sold on the market. I expect the same to happen with these BPCs.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

I did not intend to have any discount on the bulk BPCs (other than the trivial discount the production equations give you, which would be less than a tenth of a percent).

It's solely a convenience factor - sometimes you can only log on once in a 48 hour period and you want to set a long production job going.

I'd be fine with the same treatment for faction ammo, although the general precedent is that the BPC only require the tech 1 version of the consumable. Faction ammo is portable, however, in ways that faction cap booster charges are not.

Cap boosters just cost a small amount of minerals to make. IIRC they are 2-3% of the price of the faction versions, and their production cost is pretty close to their market price.

As for buying BPCs for faction navy ships for build/resale - I do it often; you just need to be in the Blueprints channel and snap up the bargains from people wanting to cash out their FW LP.
