Howabout just not have off-grid links?

Off-Grid boosting is in healthy state as it is now, the only problem i gave here is abuse of docking mechanics Blink

One thing that off-grid boosting is certainly not is healthy.

Links on grid or not at all, problem solved.

Docked ships cannot boost. Sufficient numbers of ships can counter a T2 command ship, doesn't have to be a massive oversized blob as even 2-3 ships (one could be a BS with tank, one logi, one DPS/bumper/EWAR your choice) and problem solved. Yes, there are videos of a single command ship countering several other players repeatedly as they fly back but that ship wasn't exactly fitted for links, sufficient DPS applied will force someone to dock. Then again, you 1) Don't have to engage the target who is receiving the links 2) Can run and do something else 3) Probably an idiot if you didn't pick the first two choices and kvetched internet forums how its "unfair" you cannot destroy a target cause you failed to plan properly, the target planned accordingly to have links to get the advantage Roll and DPS applied to all links chumps all (aka DPS subtracts hitpoints, enough reduction means the other player didn't count on you having more then what the links could hold up to Roll, otherwise you have few friends and cry about "fair/unfair" fights in eve Straight lol like EVE is fair Lol)

My personal opinion is that Gang Links should be removed entirely in their current form and replaced with targeted buff modules just like remote sebos and remote tracking computers....

but this sounds like a decent band-aid for the current state of things.
