Industrial ship rebalance

only thing i would add is a ice product ship for either caldari or amarr and a fuel ship for the other

OP, why not just put your frigate inside your hauler? Repackaged frigs are not that big.

Or use free noobships and just scatter them across new eden.

Or buy dirt cheap hauler frigates when you need them.

Or use a DST.

As someone who both kills and uses them all the time, I feel they are very well balanced to the current meta if you put one iota of thought into what you are doing and have made yourself aware of the dangers that exist.

Would you care to elaborate on what is not balanced?

The small class T1 industrials are well balanced. It's the larger class T1 industrials that are poorly thought out. They do everything worse than the smaller class T1 industrials except for maximizing cargohold. Leaving the Bestower as the only real choice. Itty V, Mammoth and Tayra are useless.

Well, your tayra has twice the tank of a bestower when fit for max cargo, so there is that and everything in between with the others. But as for them all doing the same thing, not much you can do about that without removing racial haulers and putting them all under ORE. Same 'problem' with freighters.

OK, so as a Minmatar, I never even gave the Ammar and Cakdari industrials a decent look until AFTER the change. I looked BECAUSE of the change.

If there's no hull to resurrect, then I guess about half my point in thinking it up is missing,


As for the "Why don't you just......... " suggestions, I know there are other ways to handle the situations I'm discussing. Although for the suggestion to put the frig in the cargohold each time there are 2 obvious answers, 1) that destroys the rigs and 2) that cuts into the haul capacity.

And if Ammar and Caldari really had only 2 indy hulls before the change, I almost feel sorry for them, but not sorry enough to stop my FW activity, lol.

"alt on a different account" should never be a recommendation in balancing, if anything mechanics should discourage alts. and on that same field alts are used in alot of professions because either A) employing help makes it instantly unprofitable or B) its so mind numbing literally no one would ever sign up for it (see freighter escorting in highsec to defend against unpreventable suicide ganks)
