You will still get full insurance pay out for sucide ganks if you are shot at by NPC navy as well as concord. This is great for -10 like me as the navy will always arrive on seen before concord. SO if you are -10 and suciding in high sec remember to insure your ship at maximum.

The reason navy arrives before concord is because they are spawned by you simply being in high sec. Concord ahve to wait for you to commit a crime and go gc!

So this is ace for suciders who were losing out unfairly on insurance payouts dettering them using battleships to gank. As long as they aquire npc agro first they can still insure their ships and recive no real loss to isk.

How much does hulk insurance pay out? How much does a hulk cost?

I'm sure if you petition it, that CCP will mention its an exploit and then leave it unpatched for five years.

However, until you get an official answer, you're free to go ahead and cheat the system.

Very interesting.

So the theory is, if there are NPCs on the KM (in addition to Concord), insurance is received?

I wonder if this applies to belt rats as well.....might have to experiment with this.

Possible to take some damage from belt rats, warp to a target, gank, and still get an insurance payout?
Might be worth a few test runs.

Nah, willing to bet that is is 'if only concord is on the kill, no payouts..otherwise pay it' So, having an accomplice with a warp scrambler to add his name to the mail...

Well, having an alt shoot your gank-boat is a simple matter.....if its as easy as getting another name on the KM, its as easy as fitting an offensive mod on your scout/warp-in alt.

And that is good news. Tornado is VERY good for the ganking business, but Tornado + Platinum insurance. Wow. FREE MONEY - cuts the cost of ganking in half.

Going to test this out right now if I can find a lucky Exhumer.

I'm just wondering how exactly to get NPCs on the KM.

I know that mission runners and miners killed by salvagers often have rat damage on the KM.

Is is possible to take some damage from an NPC, warp, Gank, and that damage carries over to the Concord KM?
Or does the NPC have to be shooting you when you are Concorded? (easy from Faction navy - harder from belt rats who are usually already busy with the target)

Going to play around with this.

I think participation in a battle lasts for fifteen minutes or until a session change, which ever is first. But if you are not permitted to be in a particular area of space where you are sui-ganking, the faction navy will follow you to your destination. With a Tornado, you probably won't get more than one shot. Also note, faction navies scram, jam, tracking disrupt, everything under the sun, so that can put a damper on your plans.

Unfairly? You engaged in a criminal act fully aware that Concord would blow up your ship for it, and you expect insurance as well?

I'm all for ganking, but that's just stupid.

Remove insurance for self destructs as well.

edit: I suspect this will be fixed by denying all insurance payments while you have GCC.

this thread is the equivalent of someone finding a hole in the wall of a candy factory, taking one handfull then running around the entire neighborhood screaming " HAY GUYZZZZ THERES A HOLE IN THE WALL OF THE CANDAY FACTOREYYYYYYYY!!!!1"
Eventually the guy that owns the factory will patch the hole in the wall and nobody gets candy....

Gratz....
