Offlining Silos during Reactions

Just setup something quite simple

Silo 1 >
Silo 2 > Reactor > Silo 4 > Silo 5
Silo 3 >

Two Silos at the end for storage because space. Just wondering if it's possible to quickly offline/take the stuff/online out of the final Silo 5 while leaving everything else running? Or will this cause disaster, tears and tragically lost materials?

Know I should just try it but maybe someone will take pity on the space poor? Smile

The POS processes hourly. This is commonly referred to as the tower tick.

You can get a good idea of when the tick is by looking at the calendar to see when the fuel will expire (minutes past the hour).

So all you have to do is avoid having stuff offline near the tower tick time.

In your case, you won't lose anything if silo 4 has room, regardless of the time.
