Eve Online, Walking In Stations. What happened?

I remember CCP had walking in stations nearly completed back in 2008.
What happened that would cause them to scrap all that work?
And why were the videos of old Walking In Station taken down?

People wrongly linked Walking in Stations to some "Greed is Good" leaked internal memo. Also, people feared that CCP were planning on removing resources for making their spaceships more pretty/shooty/explodey and so they shot the Jita monument in protest. Also having to stare at the Matari station interior for a few months. irked a few people

CCP 180 no scoped faster than a 15 year old playing CoD and so WiS has taken an almost bin like direction. It does get used a little bit however as new clothes are getting released.

because there is more pressing matters which need addressed than giving people more reason to stay in a station

Arline Kley, please try to use your braincells and think for a second about the YEAR. Incarna was 2011. The WIS I am talking about is 2008.

Hah, Big smilethat WIS (not enough Pshhhhh) was scrapped for the next (iteration of) WIS that got scrapped in 2011. Lol

I don't see why it didn't have enough Pshhh.
You can watch Amarr and Minmatar militia battle on a board game in a Gallente station with Gallente dancers a few meters away.

I don't understand what has taken them so long to complete Incarna. The captains quarters are nice, but come on I want to see the rest of the station. WiS is like the missing half of EVE. They have though made some nice changes, and not so nice changes, in the last 4 years. My favorite was lifting the draconian 24 hr restriction on the Skill Queue which I just discovered this morning.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.
