Well this thread is quite the tantrum, isn't it.

I use a 660 Ti, with an i3, all settings on full, with one client sprawled across two monitors, and get a full 1080p@60Hz experience. No drama with animations of any kind, and the ships look absolutely beautiful..

My hardware isn't even close to top end any yet, here's how the Executioner looks for me.

If you have a problem with how the game looks, you've only your own hardware to blame. The game itself is fantastic, and the ships are veritable works of art. You can be as angsty as you want about it but at the end of the day, your graphics problems are entirely your own, and no one's gonna miss you if you qq in a river of salty tears.

Ships look awesome, they always been. I think this topic is garbage.
Ive got GTX560 and everything looks smooth and beautiful. Tiamat changes will only improve things even further.
The GFX team is doing great work.

meh, my gfx card (HD5750) is ancient, and the ships still look better than what the OP posted.

OP, it's your hardware. Something other than your video card is slowing down your machine. My current rig is 4 years old and I can run a consistent 60FPS with little to no lag at max settings. Although, it could be possible the shader tech on your v-card is out of date causing poor shader quality in games.

Another thought, you have too much running in the background and they are consuming too many resources causing EVE to fight for those resources and slowing your machine down.

Current rig:
ASUS GENE III Mobo with an Intel i7 950 @ 3.06 GHz.
8 Gigs RAM
nVidia GeForce 650 Ti
Windows 8.1

Whatever is causing your problems is on you and not on CCP.

Funny, with my old GTX 650 I think Amarr ships are beautiful! But then I am not some entitled twit who took a screen shot on the lowest settings.

Try using the High quality shader setting.

I have them all set to low because even with my GTX 560 TI your stargate wormhole effects are jerky.

This game engine isn't exactly optimized for animations.

Even when I do set it to high, it still looks 'HORRID'. Someone polished the copper and dumped a can of red paint on it. Nice blotches.

They looked much better before you started messing with them.

Just FYI, I run a 560Ti too, and mine runs fine on everything High. For comparison purposes, I have 8GB ram and an i72600k CPU.

The only time I have to drop it down is if I start running more than 3 instances.

Not that helpful in fixing your issue, but suggesting that the hardware and EVE are capable of running fine.

Please check how up to date your drivers are. Head to http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience and install that if you haven't already. This will flag any outstanding driver updates.

If you find that your drivers are indeed up to date, then please submit an in-game Bug Report from the F12 menu, feel free to mention my name. This will collate a bunch of informative system information for us to look at.

GTX 560 TI is pretty old at this point, not only that, its a low end card, also couldnt help but notice you failed to list the rest of your specs, (cpu, motherboard, ram, os) but from what it sounds like, you are one of those people that plugs in a vid card, and expects it to fix your issues for you, when in reality you need to do the research to figure out where the problem lies, it is not ccp's fault you did not do this.

If you expect any level of help here, you need to provide us with the information to do so.

If i had to guess you are bottlenecking your system in some aspect, but without stats, i really cannot help you.

Seems like you've got a problem with your hardware, or maybe something got a bad install; you might want to consider checking wether all your drives are up to date or reinstalling the game. Also, check out if your computer is too close to the minimum requirements for EVE.

It also seems you're trying to whine and rant in these forums like this was YouTube's comment section. I hope it's not the case, but your attitude is childish. That won't get you far in these forums. Or anywhere in life, that is.

As the issue has been explored and OP told how best to remedy the situation, I will be closing this thread. Thanks all!
