Is it still possible to see if a siphon is on your pos with api?

Don't even have to be logged in the game to see what is happening to your pos?

You mean like monitoring the asset list and watching for removals?

I thought CCP went to some effort to make the API lie to you when siphons were in play.

Was that a joke? Roll

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

The issue came up a while back.

Basically it was revealed that it was possible to "observe" your POS was being siphoned while not really online. Probably through the API but I'm not certain of the mechanics.

Whether it was deemed an exploit to do so or CCP arbitrarily jimmied the data I do not recall. The topic came up and then was gone. If this thread gets locked quickly then that might illustrate sensitivity over the topic.

I doubt it'll be dealt with in a hush-hush way.

Though I will not be reading through that thread to see if CCP did a reversal on that.

They're "persistent". The limies say so.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

That threadnaught contains Yay's and Nay's on being able to see a siphon on a pos that is doing mining/reactions. I did read that a dev said it will be hidden in the api but there are also others saying that there are some reactions that still show up in the api.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the subject. Does the api lie about some reactions and not about other reactions?

As logn as you can see the content of the container where your result of the reaction/mining goes and you know how much should get there each hour, you can spot if there is a syphon or not.

Yea, that goes against what a dev said about the api lying and showing the full ammount even if some is missing and then there are others saying upon testing that that is not the case and some siphons can be seen in the api on a pos, just like your saying.
