You try cycling through an industrial area, that borders a township in South Africa, back and forth every week day, while being caucasian and tell me again about survival.

I know a guy, his parents died of AIDS and left him a young brother who also had HIV. He was 13 and his brother an infant. He sold newspapers on the street, had no one to help him at all and from the papers taught himself English. Worked his way up and became a pharmacists.
His brother is one of the oldest living children born with HIV in that country.

He (the pharmacist) always has and still has proper respect for women. (Being an orphan or raising your sister is no excuse)

Translation: I'm a victim because I'm white and lived in countries where the white minority had all the money and power.

I must remember to shed a tear about that some time in the near future.

(Sarcasm on):
Yes, because every single white was filthy rich, just like every white American was a slave owner and whipped all of their slaves daily!

I mean clearly I was so rich that working in an industrial area and cycling, must have been because I really believe in the Green movement and I was only going there to provide charity and prance about, showing off my superiority.
(Sarcasm off.)

You might also want to remember that the "Liberation" of South Africa occurred 21 years ago and people have grown from being children in that time, so they are utterly blameless yet laws like BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) mean there are almost no jobs for them, so they have to move to other countries.

South Africa is far and a long way no where near the Rainbow nation it claims to be.

I've seen you mention your military past a few times. Any one of your tours comes with hazards I can't even imagine and would probably never survive. We mention these things not to brag but because it frames our mindset for other people without having to write down a ton of details.

In any comparison of my life to someone else's I'm perfectly content being the lesser of the two. I think you know that about me.

This post is a perfect example of the fact that victimhood is colorless and genderless (and that players can bring their predisposition with them into the game)

On the one had, a poster who lived in countries where EVEN after the end of racial policies STILL were dominated for a long time economically by the group that poster was a part of. And yet some how that poster is a 'victim' of some kind of unfairness.

On the other hand, folks like me, descended from slaves, son of a man arrested for merely bumping into a white woman as a teenager 60 years ago, and somehow I'm NOT a victim of anything. Victimhood is a choice, and you (jenshae) chose it.

When i look at your csm campaign, I see the same victimhood type thinking, this time 'for the poor PVE player' against the rabid 'fat kid with a magnifying glass PVPrs'. And yet again here I (and many others) am, a PVEr who is NOT a victim, but rather a competitor to those some PVPrs that are somehow so nasty that you need CCP to change the game to deal with them.

TL;DR, the 'problems' here aren't the game, ccp, males/borish male behavior, white folks, black folks or whatever else. The problem here is that same as it is everywhere, bleeding heart oversensitive 'fairness crusaders' who blame external causes for problems rather than take responsibility for their own problems (and expect others to do the same).

EVE is open to anyone (regardless of gender or whatever), but you have to be the kind to take it rather than expecting it to be handed to you. Period.

And still no contribution from CCP! When are they gonna send someone to tell us that everything will be okay? They could at least show us a graph of the current player demographics and tell us whether they are okay with that as it is.

I think they're pretty convinced we're a bunch of morons at this point and are taking steps towards making a new game.

EVE is a 'hard" game, and takes a lot of "work". If you look at what men and women tend to go into for careers and degrees, men tend to go into "hard" careers that take a lot of "work". Now I'm not saying women don't work hard, but they don't tend to go into the STEM fields (Science, Tech, Eng, Math) because that kind of work does not generally appeal to them for a variety of reasons. EVE is pretty much the STEM of the gaming world, and the kind of difficulty and gameplay is not what I would associate a women with doing. The games women tend to play are puzzle games (That's the one I do know), and puzzle games are about as far from EVE as you can get, and EVE won't really appeal to women.
This is BS, totally. Women like easy things. Don't go that way. Seriously.

Not easy, but the gameplay of eve is not what most women would play

Lol, so because there was apatheid in South Africa means that every white person living there should suffer now?

Eve for an eye, huh? Get outta here.

And by the way, South Africa is mess right now. Corruption and crime everywhere.

Thwe stupidest thing a person can do is read something, mistake what that thing said, then replay based on that initial mistake.

At what point did I suggest 'white people' should suffer for anything? Do you even English?

This is getting out of hand. I am not a victim.
The only scars I have from conflict and people trying to mug me are on my hands.
I left South Africa, I had to eat almost only peanut butter and jam sandwiches for two years to save up enough to afford to get out but I am out and good riddance to it.

This is Africa to me :
A guy dies and goes to heaven. He gets the tour, harps, clocks and angels
It is all very boring. So he has a bright idea.
"Hey! St Peter, I want to go to hell!"
"What?!"
"Yeah, I want to see what it is like then I come back with more options."
St Peter gets God on his phone, talks about the irregularities and God is very understanding, giving him amnesty in advance to do it.
He goes to hell in the cosmic elevator and it is the greatest party
Vices, sex, orgies, drugs, alcohol, women, you name it, they have it
Cheese!
Everywhere and on everyone, long stringy, delicious pizza cheese
He crawls out of there before midnight and passes out in the cosmic elevator after pressing the number to go up
He wakes up the next morning and is hung over but happy. He tells St Peter, "I am going to hell! I want to stay there."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes"
So after sleeping on it for another night, he goes back down
When the doors open it is fire, whips, torture, mutilations, scat and all the horrors.
He sees the devil and goes up to him, "Hey! What is going on? Where did the party go?"
"Yesterday you were a tourist. Today you are a local."

(... another clue for you. Victims can't joke about it.)

We can stop arguing when you get a clue.

Since english is hard, allow me to break it down for you: What I said had nothing to do with 'whites' being punished for anything. The idea that what I said even suggested that speaks more to the failures of your worldview than anything I said.

The more literal translation would be "you're a white person from a place where people like you had power over others (whether you did personally is beyond the point), I'm a black guy from a country that hasn't been friendly to people like me. If I have no reason to complain (and I don't, I was never a slave and I wasn't alive in the Jim Crow era, I live in a time where MERIT decides what happens to me), YOU have even LESS reason to complain/claim victimhood than I (or sybil) would if I (we) were so inclined"

Clearer now?

Edit: If he is still in South Africa, he probably has every right to claim he is a victim.
The racism is now reversed for many years and is part of the laws there.

You telling him to shut up and not cry about it because of what others did does nothing to help the situation.
