So besides the fanfest itself we are looking forward to the solar eclipse and would like to know if solar eclipse glasses wil be included in the goodie back this year. If not I would like to know so I can purchase some beforehand.

i bought like 5 pair form amazon for cheap, but would be cool to know, though i think CCP might be doing something at the zenith, i heard (read) a roumer of a new game reveal. I think fan fest this year will be interesting

This would def be a good thing to know before hand. If we need to bring our own then I need to order some. But if CCP will be providing some then I can save the money and not buy something I won't ever use again.

Is CCP organizing anything at all for this?

I'd like to know if I have to procure obscured sunglasses (and camera lens!) in advance.

I wish we could get an answer quicly on this. Would be cool to have those Eve dedicated glasses !

It also should be stated clearly by CCP that you should never ever stare directly at the Sun without proper protection, and regular sunglasses aren't. Just a reminder.

I've been informed that there will be glasses available, so no need to worry.

You still probably want to get a camera filter though. Unprotected cameras can be irreparable damaged due to the light involved, so if you want pictures, be sure to get an obscured camera lens filter as mentioned by Katrina Bekers.

No, just that glasses would not be an issue. Don't really want to know more, honestly. I like my surprises.

Yes. Asked someone about some stuff (nothing secret or anything, just a general question I had) and threw the glasses thing in to check.

Still nice how all of the CCP people that should have seen this thread pop up that they felt the need to make sure we knew via an official comment.

Then I lol when they keep saying they are going to try to start communicating better... though they did for the very first time in recent memory actually keep the "Tiamat Issues" thread updated with current issues for Tiamat, almost, so maybe there is hope?
