Well, played a few infantry maps and found those to be a whole lot better, but I'm still having an issue with keeping people pinned down as support.

My god, this game is terrible. Sure its pretty, but the entire thing felt half-ass (even more half-ass than this post). Going through the campaign, every gun fight was EXACTLY THE SAME. AI was a complete joke. Now I know this isn't a single player game, but I was still disappointed.

And the multiplayer, I can't stand it. The combination of amazing full auto accuracy at 200m out, a tagging system that makes it difficult to hide/play sneakily, you can't play competitively or even make a difference on the battlefield unless you have 20+ hours of in-game play time (and this isn't from experience, but because of the unlocks you need).

I still think Battlefield 2 is a better game. BF3 just doesn't feel right, and I should have known better....

No wonder. BF3 was made just so they could make money of off the not too bright people. Make some light shows and some pretty explosions, and you make easy money.

FPS games is in a sad state right now, though I have tried a few indie ones that hold some promise.

multiplayer is fun for a while
issue = maps are either too big, or they are the right size but no flanking is possible

the single player is a let down, but anyone who gets BF for single player should just quit games.

its not a bad game, its just not as good as its predecessors, it is better then the last 4 iterations of COD though.

Back to Karkand fixed a lot of the issues for me. The remakes of Sharqi, Gulf and Karkand are amazing and finally get a little of that BF2 feel back into the game i missed with the other maps which pretty much just felt uninspired.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

I can agree with this. For sabotage, in a few of the maps it boils down to who can get to the targets the fastest instead of any strategy or fancy gun work, since they're often in areas where the enemy can simply camp and you can't do anything to kill them, whether it be go around or whatever. I could honestly just sit and camp in some rooms with those targets in them and defend the target completely on my own against 20 guys. This is game breaking, it does need to be redone...

lmfao, I thought the same thing. In real life, if you try launch an RPG inside a building, you die along with your target.

Not to mention that I heard they nerfed the noob tube in BF3. They totally didn't. Noob tube is alive and well.

None of the shoulder fired launchers have enough blow back to kill you when fired from inside a building.

If they made the rockets realistic the shoulder launched anti air would have a range of 10 miles and travel at mach 5, the Javelin would one shot any armor and never miss, the RPG would randomly choose a direction to go, and the SMAW would be 20% cooler

Thank you. I've have felt the same way since I bought the game, and I only paid $30.

Who the **** thought it would be a good idea to include unlockable weapons in a competitive multiplayer shooter? Seriously, just give me all the damn weapons. Like Halo, Counterstrike, or Day of Defeat.

And who the hell works for Dice? BF3 is a buggy mess.

The only gripe I have with EA is their method of forcing their Origin crap down your throat.
Without that, I'd probably have bought BF3. I hope for the love of god that they won't do the same with ME3.

Fun fact: World of tanks is better than BF3, and it's completely free.

hi stupid forum person.
battlefield maps have always been large but a majority of the map had nothing to do in them
most maps had 2 main bases that were uncapturable, and a city or something else in the middle, about 5 flags but kinda close together
other maps would be larger, and flags would be in a line, you could flank around with a jeep or tank and hit the rear of the enemy line since the infantry would be moving forward through the line of points

in BF3 look at metro conquest
its a line, like old maps... but there is no flanking, your fighting in a hallway.
now if i could shoot enough rockets and break through the walls of the subway or have some other way to get behind the enemy it wouldn't be a map of
"get flag b, defend it, win"

so like i said
maps are too big or there is no flanking and it becomes a first person to get X wins.

this is why grand bazaar is such a good map, the main flag is B, but there are 2 other ways around.

BF3 is pretty damn fun you must have a bad PC. Also who the hell plays single player mode in FPS?

I have more space likes than you.

Played bf2 till I almost dropped deadLol Did they really went with the COD arcade style of gameplay? I mean back in the old days of bf2 you had to use semi-automatic mode on your guns for medium/long ranges or you wouldn't even hit your target.

Hey nice comment I think I'll put it in my garden with the rest of the BULLCRAP!

COD WaW was EPIC. It's multiplayer was a blast and the four zombie levels brought a depth and feel to zombies not present in any game fore or aft. Also Elena Seigman's zombie theme songs were sick.

And don't even get me started on MW2. The campagin in that game was like watching a GODDAMN ACTION FILM.

Holy Satanic Christ! This is a Goddamn Signature!

BF3 plays a little faster than BF2, but it's an improvement. The game feels far less clunky, i can't really see myself going back to BF2, especially with all 3 of my fav maps in BF3.

Edit: It "feels"like battlefield, but it's been streamlined, in a good way. Bar some odd menu choices and a rather odd minimap.

I have 1942, Vietnam, BF2, 2142 and BC2. I can't be bothered with BF3, nice graphics and all that but gameplay is meh.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
