I only found one corp that ever did that. Can't remember the name, but no matter because I remember the corp closing at some point. I wasn't actually in the corp, but they had a public channel. I joined the channel and hung around. I ended up thinking it was kind of lame. Basically because the the corp was a standard ratting corp. You'd think Eve, on account of its politics and the ability to hold systems and fight meaningful wars and all would actually have a good environment to integrate alliance goals with a role-play flavor. I find that the way people play Eve kind of works against this. Also, given the lack of avatar play and that we are stuck in the CQ, you can't really do more than chat in character. It didn't work for me.

You can tell from my bio that I have a bit of an RP flair, but mostly it is exercised in giving my characters personalities and backstories and relationships in my head. It's not something I do with others. i noticed the response above that said there are a lot of RP groups out there. Frankly I hardly found any and they weren't any good.

Oh and I too am a serious character with a silly name.

Unlike most of them, however, your name is actually clever and amusing.

Honestly, I'm really fond of knightalk, damselspeak and orcgarble and ****.

But in EvE, it's so fast and close and personal...

Truly in EvE, more than in any game I know, you are roleplaying yourself.

OT: I've never crossed anyone roleplaying in EvE, except a few corp "flavoring" their gameplay with some specific theme, such as a "We are Serpentis, we live in Serpentis space, fly their ships and do missions for them, but also a lot of other non-related stuff". Also confirming the CODE. RP is an excuse for plain and barely-veiled goodhearted legit EvE space-dickery.

FC: Fleet jump fleet jump warp to outgate scout plus 1

FC: OK try to get us tackle on the thrasher - fleet get ready if the griffin shows up on grid you switch and blap the griffin.
Scout: POINT!

Candi sits down in Ezwal's lap softly, giving little flick to her long, blonde braids to send then over her shoulders with a childish smile. She glances down at her datapad, shuffling her little butt around a little to get comfy.

Candi turns with a childish grin, lifting her goggles and resting them on her forehead. She holds up her datapad to Ezwal's face as her darkly glossed lips curl into an excited smirk.

Candi asks innocently, the warmth of her breath lands on your neck and earlobe as she speaks. Combined with the gentle aroma of what smells like bubblegum, possibly from her shower gel, Ezwal may notice tthe petite little Intaki's accent is strangely laden with what sounds like Achuran under-tones. She thrusts her datapad into the face of Ezwal once again while bouncing in his lap a little.
