How is everyone finding spawns of stes and combats within wormholes since the patch.
Think we have had 2 combats spawn since the patch, our little hole needs some spawn love for sure Big smile

Mine started off post patch to almost feel like it doubled the rate. Now it seems back to normal.

Are you familiar with how site spawning works?

Yep am familiar with the spawning mechanics of wormholes
Just interested in finding out if anyone else was experiencing anything different.

Looks like I will just have to hold tight until the other systems in my constellation get cleared out by the look of it then

Ok. Tell me what you believe to be how sites spawn.

I believe that the general train of thought is that each J system is part of a bigger constellation.
This constellation has a finite amount of anomalies and combat sites.
if your systems spawn rate is pretty low then the other J systems arent being cleared quickly
enough for other sites to respawn generally within that constellation.

Thats the theory, though I tend to believe that the ties are not limited to constellations, perhaps regions instead.

Now that we've established that you're not an idiot and you understand the theory behind it, just be patient. This is why people settle in whs with statics to the class they want. There are dry periods. It happens. Some lucky system that shares sites with your system may simply be stockpiling all the sites.

Yep am sure that is the case
Just wish the other systems in the constellation would hurry up and get cleared.
Hopefully the weekend warriors should be finding some of them as we speak.

had some odd stuff in first 24-hours. Back to normal now ... although sequential number-plates still seem a bit wierd.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Has anyone noticed that it might not be possible to force a Talocan BS spawn by warping in and out as was previously possible for WH mag sites?

Are you setting people up to despawn their mag / rad sites by warping out of them?

I guess someone will now point out that that problem was fixed ages ago, and i'll feel a bit of an idiot for always having a cloaky ongrid when I run them ... to prevent premature despawning in the event that my DPS guys have to take the discretionary route to valour.

1) Mag/radar sites don't despawn when you warp out unless you "interact with a can". I can't remember for sure where I first read that, but I've tested it and found it to be true. And note that targeting and shooting at one of the cans apparently does not qualify as interacting. HOWEVER... We have, on rare occasions, had the site despawn after we cleared rats and left to go get hacking ships. Everyone said they never touched the cans. So I don't know if it was just a glitch or what. But 98% of the time it's not a problem to clear rats then come back several minutes later.

2) From the Crucible patch notes: "Ships which are cloaked can no longer keep exploration dungeons from despawning, and by extension, respawning." I'm assuming this to mean that leaving a cloaked ship at a mag/radar site would not work to keep it from despawning. haven't tested that, though.
