Alright easy enough. The benefit is the sorting option is self explanatory. It is just plain simple to have a sort by value option. Nuff said. Yes you can use the filters for anything. It is a very good tool. But it still takes time to set up filter options but it does not categorize the items by value highest to lowest or visa versa. I will gladly listen to any counter to this. There is really not a single legit reason not to have this and I think everyone is going way overboard with trying to bash it. *Right click, sort by, price high/low* It's not some major game changing design, it's truely simple and the only reason I can think of for people hating on it is because you have been using the filter so long that you would get butt hurt if they made an easy button. It does not in any way get rid of the value of the filter, it's still there and you can still use it. Don't use the sorting option then.

And now we get to step 4. This is the, "My idea is valid, there's no reason for it not to be (even though the reasons have been pointed out in earlier posts,) and if you don't like it then don't use it," phase.

I've already posted the reasons this is not needed and is a bad idea. There's more to it than just using filters. I recommend you re-read them and attempt to counter them beyond some claim of it being self explanatory.

For example, how does your idea help someone learn how to read the information the market provides? What incentive does it give someone to actually look at the market when selling to realize that while the buy orders, which estimated values are based off of, may have an item listed at being worth 100k isk, there are sell orders for a million isk? This actually happens a lot with common loot from missions.

Go back through the thread, find the reasons you didn't read the first time, and respond to them.

I can see where it may be "unnecessary" but I hardly see how it is a bad idea. Counter to how it helps people through incentives or learning, how do any of the current sorting options do that? Why don't we just remove all sorting options and just use the filter only then. I wonder, have you bashed ever player submitted idea that got implemented into the game or do you just ride the coat tails of what CCP likes? Do you have a sudden change of heart when one of these "bad ideas" gets accepted? I don't have a problem with criticism, I have a problem with people like you with the "I know better than you so you're wrong" attitude.

Are you able to answer the questions without resorting to personal attacks?

It is hard to when your entire post history is filled with nothing but how everyone's ideas are bad and stupid and useless but you don't add a single bit of positive help. You are a troll and therefore I find it very difficult to have a descent conversation with the likes of you.

So no, you apparently cannot. Since you are either unable or unwilling to defend your idea on its own merits, prefering instead to constantly attack the individuals with differing opinions than yours, this thread really needs locked.

I have jabbed anyone else except you. If anything, you need to be restricted to making posts in the Jita forum.

Yet you still do not respond to any of the questions I posed as to how your idea benefits the game, prefering instead to attack me because I have a history of pointing out when people have bad ideas. Here's a hint, if you have a good idea, its merits will allow you to defend it rather easily, beyond simply spouting off that "it's obvious" or "it's simple." If it's that obvious or simple to you, then you should easily be able to explain to those who question it why it is. I have posted several questions to you regarding this idea of yours, and not one have you even tried to answer, prefering personal attacks or ridiculous assumptions that have nothing at all to do with the idea.

Also, your adversarial outlook on this thread started with post #3, when you denounced Paranoid Loyd's suggestion because it was too much work. Laziness is not a valid reason for anything here.
