Basically when crucible hit the auto patcher failed completely and i got around it by downloading the zip file and dumping it in the eve patch download section, then the patcher would see it and apply the patch.

In this latest patch i had to do the same, for some reason my client is now saying its all fine and patched but it cant detect the eve server, essentially it thinks the server is offline with (unknown status)

When i looked into the repair tool further i got the following log file error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "repair.py", line 270, in module
File "updateSelf.pyc", line 94, in UpdateSelf_nt
File "updateSelf.pyc", line 21, in ReadUpdateInfo
File "repairTool\repairTools.pyc", line 231, in GetRepairInfo
File "repairTool\repairTools.pyc", line 143, in SafeUrlOpen
urllib2.URLError: urlopen error [Errno 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it: 'http://client.eveonline.com/patches/repair_info.txt'

It appears that the problem is my client either cant talk to the internet or ccp hates it. I also cant use the ingame browser at all to look at patch info on the client splash page.

The latest Repair Tool can be found here: Repair Tool v3.35. Can you download that to your client directory, then open a command window in that folder.

In the command window execute "repair.exe --disable_selfupdate"

That should stop it from trying to connect and update. However, the Repair Tool will still want to validate payloads, which requires a connection to http://content.eveonline.com.

Let me know if you've any further issues.

I also had this problem and followed the instructions above. Disabling the update gives a new error message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "repairTool\progressPanel.pyc", line 83, in _TaskRun
File "repairTool\repairUI.pyc", line 97, in Start
File "repairTool\repairLogic.pyc", line 174, in Repair

File "repairTool\repairTools.pyc", line 231, in GetRepairInfo
File "repairTool\repairTools.pyc", line 143, in SafeUrlOpen
URLError: urlopen error [Errno 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it: 'http://client.eveonline.com/patches/repair_info.txt'

I did click on content.eveonline.com which redirected me to www.eveonline.com - since that works I assume I do have a connection.

My in-game browser has never worked and neither does auto-update but I can't work around this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
