Because
- You are a scout/spai?
- You are stealing from sites in our home system?
- You smell funny?

Plenty of legit reasons to kill apparently new pilots.

No one can tell if you're a real n00b, or a cyno alt about to hotdrop 500 men on my head.

Even now I am not convinced to believe you - the sheer amount of typos gave you away :p

When you undock you should have the mindset that you are going to lose that ship. It's a harsh world out there in space.

Were you venturing into low-sec? If so, low-sec isn't really the safest place to be if your not ready for it since players may shoot you on sight. And there are several reasons why someone would go after you; there are players that use new toons to go out and scout around, or a simple frigate or newbie ship that is fitted for a cyno, there are plenty or things.

Keep alert to your surroundings would be my tip there, and warp out if you don't feel safe.

Vets kill newbies with impunity because...

- we can.
- there are no rules stating we can't (unless it is a designated rookie system).
- you might have something valuable inside your ship (we can't tell until we crack it open... and if we asked you, you might lie).
- newbies with the right knowledge and the right friends can be just as dangerous as a multi-year veteran.

edit:

Also... EVE is a game centered around warfare, economics, and conflict between people.

Couple of things to advise you on.

Dont take anything from yellow cans and then promptly fly around on ap or sit there thinking ill go pop and have a smoke whilst flashy yellow.

Dont accept a duel unless you have the knowledge and ship to win.

Your about 2 weeks old and im presumming you actually did the tutorial. EvE for new starters can be a bit of a wake up call so ask questions and learn. You should still have the Rookie channel open and your in a noob corp. Use it Blink

On the third day after your birth myself and my sister's will come to you and decide your fate.

and it takes less time for you to warp off, which means i'll shoot first and not bother checking at all.

Kill on site lol. This is not dayz/warz. How do you eve manage to get killed? Its so easy not to die in eve, just dont be fcukin lazy to check the area you going for hostile activity and dscan once in a while. I only die if I am drunk and forget that I was playin, or suicide.

Ships in EvE are disposable tools, if you get blown up you either did something wrong and can learn from that, or you just had a good fight. Trying to blow up other people's ships is the core of EvE and what keeps the economy going.

I don't see why a n00b isn't entitled to the same game and experiences as the rest of us.

So tell me OP; what gives you the right to deny n00bs EVE until a magical barrier is reached?

OP is ofcourse a troll who believes his pixel prowess has meaning and puts him above new players.

It doesn't

I don't know what cyno is.

Delta

It allows capital ships to jump to your location from pretty much anywhere nearby (at least the majority of your current region. This means that a noobship can call in a fleet of players and indirectly murder everybody nearby.

First of all, welcome to New Eden. As you've seen, this place can be a brutal and unfair place. However, with adversity comes triumph and I'm sure you've learned a few things so far.

I am going to move this thread to the EVE New Citizen Q&A section where you will get solid advice from veteran players on what sorts of things you can do to improve your game play. I have also removed a couple off-topic posts from this thread.

Good luck out there!

Vets killing noobs is the only way to preserve Eve. It sorts out the mice from the men. If you ragequit because you died then so be it. We would rather have ppl with balls who decide to continue with the game and become vets themselves than ppl who just whine about dying and quit after a few months.

Here's hoping you become the "latter" Cool
