Good People Appreciation

Greetings, fellow pilots!

I've come to make a simple request:

Please share your stories of good deeds that others have done for you.

Did anyone ever help you out when you were down on your luck? Has a perfect stranger come to your aid in space? Is there a shoulder upon which you often cry?

Good people seem to be underappreciated. I think it would be nice if we all show some gratitude for the do-goodery that has brightened our lives.

Also, let's try to be classy here and refrain from patting ourselves on the back.

I only remembered those who shot at me while I was down on my luck, those who shot at me when I was in need of aid, those who shot at me when I needed a shoulder to cry on and those who shot at me out of the blue.

So I shot others while down on my luck, shot others when I needed aid and shot others when I want to cry. And also out of the blue.

Jokes aside, the only good people I had ever encountered are baseliners. There's far too many names and details to truly remember in full.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I like the idea of this thread--a welcome change from most of the articles I read on these forums. I'll post a few stories later, but for now I'm looking forward to hearing people actually give others compliments, rather than the usual insults we're used to here.

It's hard to remember the good people have done for you. The memories fickle and fade, washed away by the sea of destructive behaviour, often aimed in a random direction until you happen to cross its path.

Terra Matar taught me to respect my heritage, even if I couldn't understand it. I admit, the process on this has been slow, and I may have said some inflammatory things, and I am still no fan of the Republic; I am however, no longer ashamed of my heritage. That has been like a burden lifted off of me. So, everyone who was a part of that organization has my appreciation.

Also, when I was down and out, feeling bad about friends parting in different directions, Ghost Hunter was there for me, offering me purpose and a place within his alliance, and to that I am eternally grateful.

I'd probably recommend Jay Joringer, for giving me a place to crash whenever I was in w-space. Aside from that just the Onzo clan for not being the usual bigoted racists on account of my mixed heritage I've had from a lot of civire

Your timing is interesting, Norrin. Just last night I found myself surrounded by friends supporting me to help me get through some personal difficulties.

I can't tell a long story now, as I'm feeling self-conscious about dictating this. But, I can name people who have helped me along my way.

Aria Jenneth, for showing me a path to hope.
Garion Avarr, for being a father to me that my heritage has denied.
Nicoletta Mithra, for believing in me and seeing past my anger.
Vincent Pryce, for always having my back.
Halcyon Ember, for giving me a home.
Cassandra Blackflayme, for chasing away the nightmares.

There are others, so many others. And together, they make me wealthier than any amount of ISK ever will.

Hmm, well, I suppose a few names come to mind.

Firstly, I'd say Aria Jenneth, who was the first pod pilot I met to go out of her way to speak to me when I was clueless new Capsuleer, even without having to ask, and talk to me extensively about what to expect as a Capsuleer and how best to deal with the other people in the general community, as well as providing me with a lot of interesting private discussion on more occasions then I could count down the road. Though logically unlikely, I hope that she's doing well, wherever she is.

Secondly, Natalcya Katla, for picking up where she left off, as well as just being someone to confide in. She may not be perfect - Something many people have gone out of their way to remind me of - but she's far kinder and more understanding then the vast majority of Capsuleers I've met.

And I suppose I'd also say my CEO, Saede Riordan, for being very understanding and discreet about an issue incredibly personal to me despite me never returning the favour with her own. Also, for tolerating my presence in her system despite me being the most ineffectual and fickle employee she has likely every had.

There are probably more, but my head feels foggy today.

Maybe sir Aldrith Shutaq, for giving me a place to stay at and feel at home. And sir Marellus too.

Lastly, Abbess Ashar KorAzor for providing invaluable help against 'loyalist' reactionary lies and slanders.

I do not feel like to share personal stories. But I feel that I must thank the handful of people that helped me and that I still have to help in return.

Ok i got something..

Dim the lights for this one...i don't know the man's name..almost as if he was some guardian angel..

It was the 15th of September 116YC...It was a hot afternoon on the planet Reschard II, i was using a Sentinel type suit carrying around a MH-82 Heavy machine gun, my job was to mow down everything in my path...very simple..but i was a slow target and could quickly be flanked..and i was

A cloaked scout sneaked up behind me and blasted me at close range with a Shotgun..i collapsed at the crushing blow combine with the weight of my suit..Before my attacker finished me off a Beautifully placed Scrambler rifle shot priced the scout's armor like it was paper

i looked over to my right to see a Shining Amarrian Logistic suit running towards me in slow motion , i swear from the looks of it the guy had angel wings...The guy was dodging bullets and tank fire as he sprinted his way towards me

The Amarrian ( i guess he was Amarrian?) dragged my dieing body into cover and stabbed me with a nanite injector, i felt a amazing rush of adrenaline and the painkillers made me feel like a new clone..He helped me to my feet and pulled out a armor repping tool and told me he has my back

I picked my HMG off the floor and mad a push for the objective, the Amarrian stayed close behind me with that repair tool patching up my armor as i took the hits, We both single handily took the objective together

Thank you based logi..Thank you

Probably my very close friend and colleague Odo Korachi, whom I've worked with for decades in the DED, and often still share drinks with whenever we're both in the same place at the same time.

Rhianna Desaille, my sponsor, mentor and friend during my first weeks and months as a pilot.

Coldkill - I couldn't have asked for a finer comrade-in-arms

Slinktress - Nobody else could have held that alliance together like she did.

Ethan Verone - for teaching me to nuance my world view.

Kyoko Sakoda - who caught me when I fell.

Ciarente Roth - for teaching me what the word "family" really means.

Silver Night - for proving that good ideals outweigh bad allegiances.

Nicole - who deserved a better husband.

Kyllsa - whose example has helped me find my balance.

Two others - for being my brothers. You know who you are.

Ava, for more reasons than I can say.

Morwen, for being there when I needed a friend,

Arkady Sadik, for teaching me to shut up and get on with it.

Vincent Pryce, for always welcoming me even when we were enemies.

Desiderya, for giving me a purpose.

She's mad but she's magic, there's no lie in her fire.

Kyoko and Stitcher both shame me for not including Ethan Verone. He is unashamedly a pirate, but he taught me honor and the importance of one's word as bond.

Kyoko Sakoda, your modesty makes you easy to overlook. You taught me how to fight with grace and finesse, and you help set me on the path that has intersected with those that I've already named.

What seems like a lifetime ago, a young pilot was mining hard to make enough money to buy his first battleship when a richer, more able pilot offered to sell him one at a reduced price and to lend him a large chunk of the money.

I was that young pilot, and the benefactor was Aralis.

Likewise I won't make any long winded expositions but simply acknowledge fellow pilots who've greatly influenced me:

Ava Starfire; my very close friend, mentor and shaman.
Sarrapis; sister, confidant and moral compass.
Kyllsa Siikanen; mentor, spiritual adviser, my personal speaker of truths.
Arkady Sadik; who taught me about professionalism and duty.
Sonja Dragooran; who recruited me into Gradient, mentored me and showed me that pilots can be good people.
Shalinea Vyvorant: for her cupcakes and irrepressible joy of life.

Foley Jones. For being the most amusing person I ever met. Thank you for the plushie titan as well!
Scherezad. For everything you did. Too much to write, but if you will hear me and will need anything, just ask.
Damar Rocarion. General. Did for the State more than any other capsuleer.
First General. Commander. Traitor. Warrior. And the best damn strategist I have ever met in my life. Despite abandoning everything we are fighting for, what he has taught me, I highly value and appreciate.
Subsparx. For uniting us when we need it the most.
Isis Dea. Despite I will never approve your way of life, I highly value your expensive presents. Thanks!
Evelyn Meiyi. I know we aren't in good terms anymore, but I appreciate your company, that you gave me when I needed it.
Pieter Tuulinen. For giving me all these adventures and awareness that I am still alive.
Mika. For patching me like crazy when I was perforated like a colander.
Arista Shahni. I would like to say you big thank you for all your support to me when I needed, even when I was acting like I don't need it. Thank you.
Thal Vadam. Thank you for the training lessons and for the sword.
Lunarisse Aspenstar. Thank you for being kind and diplomatic. It helped me a lot, and not just me. Thank you again.

And of course Tibus Heth.
He gave me reason to live.
He made me to be proud to be who I am.
He have inspired me.

And please excuse me, if I didn't mention you (if you did something for me), I love you all regardless!
(except enemies of the State, of course - you all just die, please)

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.
