Sorry for spamming this forum, guess I've been busy.

Just wanted to make a new thread to get you guys' attention about my youtube channel. A lot of my video content is going there right now rather than being stockpiled for a "normal" video.

Bringing Solo Back Youtube

Thought some of you that aren't interested in the podcast might want to know.

I find it kinda interesting to watch how you explain your actions. Even íf you are an experienced PVPer you can always discover something new.

(i'm gonna edit the previous posted part a little :))
What i dislike is that every video takes only a few minutes, then you have to browse back and check another one if there is anything. When you start to enjoy it and relax its already over :/
Hoping for more compilation videos Pirate

It's because of bastards like you Kil2 that pvp videos will be replaced by this wannabe sports commentator bullshit. Screw you and Screw Club Bear.

But seriously, it's refreshing to watch pvp without having to litsen to Metallica for the 10 thousandth time(looking at you DHB Wildcat).

EVE online is the fishermans friend of MMO's. If it's too hard you are too weak.

In your resurrection commentary, you say that frigs are bad to pvp beginners and you somehow seem to base it on that you are not good at them?

I couldn't disagree more. Pretty much everyone I know of who is good at pvp started of with frigs, or spent quite a long time flying them. It's a good way to learn how eve pvp works, because it's cheap, because lots of other noobs fly frigs (possible to get even fights), because you can move around systems fast, you can easily get away from camps etcetc

First of all, I really don't have a strong enough opinion about frigs, or enough experience in them (especially as a new player) to debate about them confidently, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

That said, it SEEMS to me that while frigs remove some barriers, like isk investment and skill point requirements, they add a lot of barriers as well. The increased speed makes it very difficult to understand why things are happening, the extreme importance of relative ranges and velocities makes success more dependent on piloting skill, and the limited number of viable targets all restrict the pvp experience in their own ways.

Keep in mind that mostly I'm thinking of soloing. When I was learning to pvp I was often flying in a duo composition of frig/cruiser. I thought that was great. And I also know that lots, if not most people learn to pvp in frigs, and that has to count for something.

What I want to fight against is the idea that frigs are THE way to learn eve pvp, which I feel is promoted aggressively by a lot of the community. I've heard so much about how all you need to get into pvp is some rifters. In a way thats totally true, but I think for a lot of people there is a more enjoyable path available through larger ships.

In the future I will try to be more sensitive to all the frig lovers out there =)

100% agree about frigs, I would not recommend learning pvp int them, purely because of how fast a frigate fight goes.

really like to see the video's with the commentary kil2, every other game seems to have pvp vids with commentary, about time eve online got some. Hope there will be alot more of these type of videos popping up soon.

In reality, the only way to understand eve pvp is to get thrown into the extremes, take a loot at most of the people who join a corp and fly smallish gangs of canes etc, they generally lack understanding of rangemanagement and positioning. I firmly believe that the grace period of frigate piloting is very valuable to the overallt understanding of the game for any new pvper.

Also, all frigates don't go 5km/s, lately I've seen some awesome af trends in lowsec etc with abs and they've done well (some vids on my eve here as well I think). ab plate/rep rifter is a classic, in the belts of amamake.

I think that the "best" way is extremely individual, different personalities are drawn to different shiptypes in eve.

Good videos kill2, watched them all.

I feel better knowing that I am not the only person out there who spends ages trying to separate blobs for a kill, be it jumping back and forth, warping to obvious celestial or traveling over long distances to get tacklers ahead of gangs.

I cant explain this kind of thing to people, video does a good job.

Also good information on the importance of a recon in tackle range, not a lot of people suicide into recons for some reason.

Like you said, trade a drake for a rapier kill anyways.

Ofc, video helped me as well <3
