I haven't really heard anything on Thera since December. Is anybody living there? Is it still the world's greatest collection of bubble camps?

Does it have a purpose?

I think some nullsec groups use it to deploy quickly, almost anywhere.

Goonswarm lives there...they had two fluid towers up last time I was there.
They wanted to flex their muscles. So, a hundred of them docked with me at the furthest station, then suddenly undocked. Know what I did? I undocked with them and took off :D They got so mad Oops

P.S. I was flying an Astero...lol

Honestly? It's a giant shattered system...truth be told. It's multi-purpose. Griefers can use it to launch across the entire universe. WH corps could use it for WH colonization...even carebears could be mining the crap out of the ice/gas...plus I guarantee that the roleplayer will find content there....the fact that Goon gets free range shows the general lack of most to try new things.

Thera should be fought over tooth and nail...Goon is getting even more rich every minute their presence is unchecked.

Thera is much more NS than WH space. it has virtually no wspace relevance at all, let the ns kiddies play with it.

Only ever visited Thera once and was left underwhelmed and, as an actual wormholer, feeling somewhat dirty.

Maybe I'm just a dumb dumb who hasn't kept up on the latest meta (MAYBE? heh), but wtf is a fluid tower?

I visited the other day. Came in some stupid K162 and spawned in a T2 large bubble seeded with >300 Hobgoblin I's.

It's not spelled " Thera ", but " T H E R A ", as in: " T H E R A I S F O R M E N ", whereas you would say "W-space is full of badposting c-tier pvpers".

It is a fantastic platform to go roam out anywhere in k-space, if you want to save you the hassle of chain collapsing. Someone even does the probing for you (thanks eve-scout).

Thera is a perfect staging point for roams and blops, and I use it regularly as a short cut for travelling bigger distances (thanks to http://www.eve-scout.com/ and its route finding option).

I'm my own NPC alt.

tl;dr

Real wormholes are to hard, Thera is easier.
