I see newbie friendlyness going too far. Do it too much and you kill the Eve spirit.

It does of course, that said....

The circle jerk blogger / twitter / pod cast community that seem to think their social commentary is significant while they all tickle each others bellies all convoluted as to convince each other of self importance.

Some people running for CSM this year only log on once in a blue moon.

I only asked opinion as to whether between CCP and the Community, 2015 can be a year free of any scandals or community uproar.

Normally I would say you must be new around here but I know you are not.

As to the OP,

What part of the opinion i asked about whether there will be a scandal or community outrage in 2015 seems oblivious to people trying to yield thought to.

I made this thread as i wanted to encourage community debate without falling foul of the mods.

I would say there will always be turbulence due to change; but with more frequent, incremental changes, it won't be an extreme rollercoaster but will still be enough of a ride to be considered a rollercoaster.

I'm optimistic the playerbase and CCP have now reached a plateau where we've all leant from our past mistakes and 2015 will be a smooth ride this year. Blink


I'm a newer player, and so far I'm pretty happy with the direction CCP is taking the game. I'd like to think that 2015 will be incident free for them, they deserve it. Unfortunately, as more people gather in a place such as the EVE Online server, the more likely it is to attract malcontents who do nothing but stir problems and like to debase people. Some people will have complaints, big or small, be it due to boredom or something else. A few easy examples are people complaining about the Christmas presents that they got from CCP, or about PLEX prices. All it takes is one match to light the dry wood.

This is the truth, people are short sighted. They think they want 'safety' and they love to see their 'enemies' punished by game changes (which is why they cheer when CCP nerfs something that they perceive as belonging to the people they hate). What they don't understand is that it's those creative bad guys who make the game interesting.

That's why I fully support the existence of people (like Goons and CODE and such) that do things that I don't do (and even find a bit...'distasteful'), because this is a game about people (with space as a mere backdrop) and without people like that you have nothing.
