POS reaction roles

Hi, I'm currently trying to set up my POS for booster production. Character which operates the POS has it rented from his corporation, it's behind password, all the modules are anchored, I can online and offline stuff.
Problem is, I can't create the reactions. If I try to set silo type, the game says I don't have the role "Config Starbase Equipment". All the modules are set view/take on corp, we even tried alliance, even when I have the fuel technician role and everything is set to it I still can't do it. And of course there's no way in hell I could get config starbase equipment, because then I could just go and unanchor all the corporation POSes.
So, is there some way for me to do reactions in my POS that doesn't involve anchoring 16 separate reaction columns for each type of booster?

You need Config Starbase Equipment to do reactions, because that role is required to offline silos to fill & empty them.

This is one of the many defects of roles for POS.

Currently the only way around it is to create a separate corp for doing reactions, and use an alt to service it.

That's not true, because I can online/offline silos even without Config Starbase Equipment, as I wrote in the OP. And the roles aspect is only briefly mentioned in the PDF, I've already read it before.
But yeah, alt corp seems like only reallistic option so far.

The silo change is new to me. I'll have to search the patch notes for that.

Yep, that's the only way. Setting the silo type is configuring the equipment which is different than onlining/offlining. The same role is required for setting up things like moon harvesters as well.

you can configure the POS itself to allow offlining/onlining to anyone in the corp. No roles needed.

I don't recommend this for towers with other assets at it, as it can get annoying, and important note is this lets them turn the guns off. It DOES NOT allow them to turn the tower itself off though.

Oh, I know what you mean now. [Few people ever touch the tower-menu role defaults, as that can cause problems.]

So I stand by my original assertion that you need Starbase Config, as you can't _only_ allow silos to be online / offlined.
