Been having a bit of an issue, where the graphics go white during combat sometimes.

a screen says it better than any amount of words: http://i.imgur.com/cB7Uzp4.png

The bug clears out itself in about 10 seconds, so its not that bad, but was wondering if there is a known fix for it?

..some tech specs on the comp it happens:

laptop, i7 cpu, nvidia gt750m gpu, 8gb ram, windows 8.1 64bit, fresh drivers all-round. eve-client as a fresh install too, just 5 days old.

Mine does this too. For me it is an indication that the graphics card is overheating. The card is deliberately unloading resources to cool off and keep itself from being damaged. If the graphics demand goes far enough, you can see weird effects like UI color bugs, mouse cursor freezing or disappearing, black screen bits, and sections of the screen not responding. To reduce it, just turn down the graphics settings a bit or try to avoid parts of space with a lot happening. What I usually do to compensate is zoom out from the activity until the white screen passes, or sometimes it's enough just to turn the camera to a different angle.

Another thing to check is dust inside the computer or graphics card. Dust is unlikely when your computer is so new, but it can happen if you are in a high-dander environment. Also check the laptop's air ports and make sure they are not blocked during use. Many laptops stupidly put the vents on the bottom.

Overheating is not the issue, temps are usually around 65c, and the hardware is specced to handle temps up to 90+, playing some more demanding games make the comp run over 80c without problems.

Luckily it only happens only 1-2 times a day at most.

Same ****, for me its happen more than couple times in day!
Its happen only in mission sites or anomalies where gas clouds are around (and if you run missions, you know its almost in all sites) when you kill npc, white screen appears on screen.
To stop this, need to zoom out or change view point.

Hardware: GT660 vga, all drivers updated to last version available at moment of posting, RAM and CPU was enough x2 to eve minimal recommended

Suggestion to CCP : maybe you can implement possibility to switch-out gas clouds on mission sites and anomalies??

I've had this a few times to, I believe it is a glitch with the explosion animation being rendered really big. It has been around a long time.

Although looking at that screen that actually looks like something else. Cause you can still see the asteroids.

I have this sort of thing happen every now and then when fighting red-crosses in various locations. Usually it only applies to half the screen and it only happens if 'Shaders' is set to any value below 'High.'

have nearly the same "white outs" .
but for me the whole screen is white, except the hud.
i see no roids like in le capitans screenshot.
yes, it happens some times after ship/structur explosions. in missions, sites,...
yes, it clears up after about 10 secounds.
its gone faster when short rotating the camera away from this white out explosion.

some pc specs:
intel i3-2120
4 gb ram ddr5
geforce gt555
linux 64bit

Macabre Votum

workaround: disable ship explosions
