Bribery for NPC Corp Agents

As I grind away on low level missions, trying to gain access to a lvl 4 agent for an npc corp I've not previously worked with, it occurs to me that these guys should take bribes. Players who don't have the standings to access an agent should be able to bribe the agent until they do have the necessary standings. I propose either a payment up front system to access these agents or they take a hefty cut of the payout until the necessary standings have been achieved. Seems to be perfectly in keeping with the back-story as many of the agents are quite corrupt.

I believe this would greatly enhance game play for the following reasons:

1) A it stands now, if you have access to a lvl 4 agent you don't want to pick up and move across the Galaxy because you know you will have to start all over with low lvl agents at the new system. This mechanic would increase mobility for hi sec players and for those who run missions in lo sec as well.

2) It is a simple fact that the grind to get access to high lvl agents is boring. Anything boring shoudl be rooted out of game play. The bribery fees could be quite high to discourage any but the most experienced players from paying them. Think of it as rewarding players who have played long enough that the ISK is not an issue--the mind numbing grind is the issue.

you do realise faction standings help, right?

Picked up and moved from Gallente to Minmatar space and only needed to run one storyline (L3) to get standings for L4 agents.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

If memory serves me, this was considered at one point when L4s were introduced. The idea is mentioned periodically in the forums. I believe it has been dropped by CCP. It is one of the few disadvantages to mission running as a career in Eve.

Fact is, with skills and the changes to agent quality, it is very easy to gain standings and access to agents in a new corp. Find a system with two agents and you are pretty much set. With two full free days, you should be able to get access to L4s.

Also, once you have 5.0 standings with a faction, you get access to ALL level 4 agents. If you have, 3.0 standings, you get access to all L3 agents, lowering the grind to about a day or so. Ok, except R&D, but you can use L4/3 security agents (in the same corp) to fix that.
