Help getting into station trading

As the subject suggests I'm looking for some info on getting a loan so I can get further into Station Trading.

In short – what’s the best way to get a loan, unsecured, for around 3-4B (based on my reading this is about the right amount to start with.)

What kind of interest does a loan for 4B attract?

I plan on working out of Jita with a list of around 6-12 items looking for items with a high turnover with approx. 15-20% profit.
Is there any kind of eve bank I can borrow from?
(All the banks I see want you to give them ISK?).

Cheers,

Wolf

I would be shocked if anyone gives you an unsecured 4 billion.

So aim lower around the 2B level?
Or do I need security for the loan?

SECURITY is king. BPO tend to be NPC minus 10-20%. Some take ships again at about same rate. It's all about security. If you have collertal I will look at helping you.

I will have a look at what I can offer as security.
Whats BPO tend to be NPC minus 10-20% mean? Is that the buy price of the BPO?
Looking at the contracts a researched BPO (esp at this level of isk) makes a large difference?

BPO (blueprint originals) are seeded by NPCs, so what he means is that the collateral is set at 80-90% of the NPC seed sell value of the BPOs. As I read it. And that would be 0/0 blueprints (non-researched).

BPOs can be 'firesold' at 90-95% of NPC seed price, usually (unless it is a low demand BPO, or a BPO that was once seeded much cheaper).

A lender looks at what they can sell the BPO at without much effort and bases loan amounts on that.

Some researched BPOs can be firesold higher - for instance, there's a pretty solid demand for 10/20 or 10/18 tech 2 component BPOs (not that those are expensive, just easy to sell) - and you might get a higher loan against something like a 10/20 Crystalline Carbonide Armor Plate BPO than the NPC price.

Hunting through my assets I dont see anything that would work as 'security'.
Does that mean I am not likely to be able to raise a loan or am I up for a higher % of interest?

You get my vote just for responding to the thread.

You haven't stated your interest % yet so how could you make it higher :)

If you offer 10% interest and that the potential investor can peek at your api code, then you can get investors for 1-2 bn, if you are indeed trading as you have stated.

Your only posts before asking for this loan are ones where you purchase a lottery ticket .

Sorry man, most people wont give you an unsecured loan above a billion, even then it is rare, and if you did get one, expect to give up your full API and all that.

Eve banks, as i learned when i was asking around about starting one, are not a welcome sight in Eve, too many scams in the past, however, i play the market PvP game too nad 20% profit is aiming a little high if your jumping into such a large bracket, especially in Jita, that is a 0.01 ISK gain, but i guess you could catch out the occasional guy.

Best of luck though, there might be someone with enough ISK that 1bil wont bother them if they loose it. Sorry for the negative news.

Absorbing the feedback above I need to have security - I don't have much in the way of ships or BPO - question: would 2 plex get me a 2B loan?

I would personally say no, normally your security has to be like 80% of what your asking, or up in the 50% plus area, but if yo can afford 2 PLEX.. Why not just buy 5? That should get you 2bil give they are selling for 800mil ISK currently

PLEX will get you a loan for their current Jita buy order price or close to it. However with PLEX you are probably better off just selling them.
