Well obviously if you have the Astero with a 10% scan strength rig on it, then that is going to pretty well close the 12.5% gap... Without the rig the Astero has 103.984 scan strength. And the Cov Ops with the rig has 123.297 scan strength.

Also, if all you care about is the scan strength, then look at the fact that the Astero doesnt even have enough calibration to put on a second scan strength rig, while the Cov Ops does. That means the Astero completely caps out (without implants) at 113.022, while the Cov Ops tops out at 130.332. That is 15.3% higher.

It depends for what you need the hull. Covops is skill intense, low tank, splendid scanning, amazing warp speed, cpu for combat launcher. Astero can be piloted by newborn (if affored), hull scanning bonus, good tank, versatile. Hard to compare those. If i want to scan i'll go for covop, if for exploration astero.

I dont see how that is related to scan strength in the slightest, but ok.

So ship bonuses are multiplicative right?

He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.

He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.

when they are calculated with other things like modules, yes.
