Soloing C2, maybe C3 Relic/Data sites?

Hey all,

I'm a vet getting into something I've never done before.

What do I actually need to fly to be able to solo the rats in a Relic/Data site in C2 or C3 WH space? Cost is not a huge deal (but of course want to maximize profit, in terms of accounting for possible ship loss), and very high skills for anything.

Secondly, are the cans hackable even with rats around? Like, do I need to be able to kill the rats, or do I really only need to be able to tank them? And, will any rats at all, in those sites, warp scramble?

Lastly, is soloing C4 Relic/Data sites feasible? Last time I did anything WH related, C4 stuff wasn't really soloable at all, but this was years ago.

C4 are soloable but harder to do for questionable return over c3 sites. shortest answer, use a rattlesnake it does all the things.

c3 data the hardest one does 1k dps in last wave. Can be done in 3 ishtars, the webbing things need to die first.

Either that or you get a marauder.

For C2's any BC can do them, in a small fleet of friends or alts you can have 3-4 simple t1 cruiser chew them up Big smile
C3's are much more difficult but doable with 2x isthar, 1 x or 2 x domi or raven or other battleship.
Or tengu, rail proteus, Legion or even a CS with a little pimp tank.
Hell can roll 1 sleip doing orbits around 1 bs for c3's.
If you have time and patience and know when to warp out a passive drake can do sites very slowly.
also relic & datas are usally the hardest sites.
Marauders are awesome but overkill for c2.

Yes you can hack while tanking the rats. The Stratios is king for this. You basically warp into a site, kill all but the trigger, tank the trigger and hack away.

Wow, I really did not expect that to be true. That changes everything.

Is it possible to setup a ship to simply tank even c4's or 5's first waves, take the cans, and get out of there? Is it worth it?

c5 cans can be worth it but you won't be able to solo them unless you do it in a carrier or something and that will take for EVUR

After some failures I managed to do them in a Phantasm or Gila, depending if there is high or no neut pressure.

No pimp (cannot afford those), just plain meta 4 / tech 2 fit.
