Ships & Modules

I've always thought the idea of custom nose art on ships might great fun, and an opportunity for uniqueness.

Now I'm NOT suggesting we be given a tool for actually plastering something to the side of a ship that could
be viewed with "Look At." Given the complexity of ship sizes and textures, that would be a nightmare to realize.

What I'm suggesting is something akin to an avatar window which could be examined by clicking on any
given ship and selecting "show info." The ships name is already there, but there could be included (perhaps
a toggle with the character avatar window) a ship logo or nose art picture.

Now of course the first and hopefully only major issue is that there would be those who could not restrain
themselves from placing something outrageously obscene there. And I'm not sure if burdening ccp with some
sort of approval system is practical either. Perhaps a possibility would be a fairly simple text with a design copy
and paste tool with options like the one used for corporate logos, but perhaps with a few more options.

Obviously, it would have to be limited in size and not be a code expansion burden, but I think it might be do-able.

I don't know if such a thing has been suggested in the past, but I think it might be an interesting dimension and
creative fun.

I was thinking in terms of aircraft nose art, or Naval ship logos as seen on jackets. There is a wide variety of examples from WW2 to the present.

I think they should just work on making ships fully customizable.

If it's going to be one or two different little hood ornaments that are all basically the same I don't even want it because that's just like a tease. Everyone would have the same ones anyway it would be the same as it is now.

I want to be able to fully customize everything from the thrusters to the windows and lights and everything to totally personalize my ship. To add different paint job and things like that.
