Navy Mega good for Lvl 4 missions?

Ed, that's an impressive DPS fit for a Domi, I'll give you that. I'm just not seeing it survive many missions. And Javelin? You know that runs about 2K isk per shot right?

I'll just say this, I'd have to see that fit work in a mission to believe it. Some of that incoming DPS, from what I remember, can be hellacious. I just don't believe you'd get it down quick enough before you pop. Or do you warp in/out as necessary and rep your damage? Then, that's costing you time which effectively kills your DPS. If I didn't know better I'd think you'd have found the highest dps fit on bc that you could and posted it here regardless of what it could do.

That's a fit I tailored since Crucible - the old fit used 350mm's and needed a power diagnostic system due to the worse rail PG usage. I've been missioning for a long long time out of Dodixie, not so much recently as I've taken a fancy to incursions.

Just noticed the pricing on Javelin - cripes. I've had like 15k of it in my hangar for months so I didn't realise it was that pricey, I'll be using AM only going forward. Occasionally I'll fit blasters with null instead of rails for Angel missions, but for the most part ships don't get within 20km before exploding so I rarely do.

As for it surviving missions, the only missions I turn down are Angel Extraveganza and Worlds Collide (I mission out of Dodixie) due to being put slap bang in the middle of a DPS storm, which you're quite right the minimal shield buffer can't take. I also turn down Serps The Blockade because the sensor damps annoy me beyond belief. I've never had a problem in another mission, except when I went AFK during The Assault and got blown up, but that's hardly the ship's fault.

If you're anywhere near Dodixie in game give me a shout and I'd be happy to run a demonstration in a fleet! I absolutely love the ship fit and am always looking to prove to other people just how effective it is at blitzing missions :D

Unfortunately, I rarely leave w-space. I appreciate the offer. But, I'll just believe what I do and you can believe what you believe. Nothing wrong with that ;)

As for the missions you're turning down, those are some of the more lucrative. WC overseer can drop, or did in the past, +30mil faction mod. Angels is a bountyfest. And then there's Damsel that isn't so much profitable as it has massive DPS when you let those BS's and cruisers get close. They're fast too so I don't know how you're applying all the DPS with tracking issues on both the rails and the sentries. There's a couple of other high DPS missions that frankly I can't remember their names that would concern me in that fit you're using.

But, even if it does work, I'm sure you're taking some armor/hull damage on occasion. That's got to cost a pretty penny to repair and/or lots of time to rep. Over several missions the rep time adds up to effectively lower DPS. Meh, IDK. No point in debating it with you if I can't be arsed to probe my way to Dodixie, now is there?

Lol - true :)

I run Damsel a lot - just need to be careful of the triggers and the high DPS ships never get in range. Good point on missing out re. AE and WC, to be honest I hadn't really thought about that.

I'd probably fit out a different ship to use in those missions, or another Domi with a stiff active armour tank, if I wasn't focusing on incursions for ISK now.
