CSM X Candidacy Period Opens Now! - Feedback link - CSM Campaigns
The candidacy period for the CSM X is open now. You can submit your application here. The candidacy period closes at 11:30 GMT on 15th of February, 2015. Voting for the CSM X. Voting starts at 11:30 GMT on 25th of February. Please also take your time to learn more about the CSM 9 and review the recent CSM summit at the CCP headquarter. Check also the CSM campaigns of candidates here!

Coming To EVE In Tiamat - Feedback thread
Tiamat, the second release for EVE Online this year, will be published on February 17 and will bring a couple of new things (Svipul Tech-3 destroyer) and a good amount of improvements to audio, graphic and game mechanics. Get the full overview in CCP Seagull's dev blog!

Background story
Bomb Outrage at Eliaron Idama Rally on Orvolle’s Scope Station
Eliaron Idama, retired military officer and Councilman, is one of the six candidates in the Gallente President elections. Eliaron's recent election rally in Orvolle was target of a bomb attack causing. Members of the Virette Legion, an organization of retired Federal Marines, protected and escorted Eliaron to safety, but three members were killed and twelve more wounded in the attack. Eliaron Idama has often spoken out against organized crime and Serpentis-affiliated crime gangs.

Voice modification surgery leak discredits Serena Nova; withdrawal of backers lends credibility to claims
Serena Nova, a known actress, has to face alleged leaked medical records that show past voice modification surgeries to advance her career. In the light of those accusations several backers withdrew their financial support. At the moment the credibility of those records are unclear as well as the origin of the leak. Nova has yet to comment on these accusations.

Roden Speaks At Arcurio Election Address
President Roden speaks in an address made from the site of the Operation Highlander memorial in District 24 of Arcurio. Roden addressed questions regarding the current state of the economy ("most stable position for almost a decade") and the Executive Order 81042 gaining him power before his election ("with the best interests and safety of the Gallente people"). Roden also confirmed that the Federation is still at war and at threat from the Caldari State.

Kelen Ontbad Holds Election Holorally at Algintal Complex
Kelen Ontbad, a federation-born Vherokior artist and philosopher, is one of the six candidates in the Gallente President elections. Ontbad recent speeches in favor of integration and reconciliation with expatriate Matari gained him a some favor and financial support in the Algintal constellation to join those elections. It remains unclear if Ontbad has considerable support outside the Algintal...

Fanfest 2015
First time at Fanfest and looking for advice?
Fanfest 2015 takes place in Iceland from 19th to 21st of March this year and will be a glorious celebration of EVE Online and the Community with presentations, roundtables and lots of information about past and future development. If you are visiting Iceland and Fanfest for the first, then you might find some useful information in this forum thread.

Fanfest 2015 - Party at the Top of the World
CCP Guard comes with some background information about the previous Parties at the Top of the World and especially presence of locals. This year we won't sell tickets to locals just for the party, but you still will see some locals as friends and families of employees are invited.

Snowboarding/skiing at Fanfest 2015?
Are you interested in doing some nice snowboarding or skiing at Fanfest 2015? CCP karkur is organizing a nice little private event shortly before Fanfest. Of course nothing can be guaranteed as the weather is unpredictable, especially in the future!


Game mechanics
Fixing COSMOS mission "League of My Own"
One of the COSMOS missions requires a racial decryptor, but those racial decryptor have been replaced by the unified generic decryptors. Expect a fix for this mission with Tiamat on February 17.

Ships with the same hull showed similar weapon bonus
The question came up if the Sleipnir hull can be changed back to be based on the Cyclone hull again instead of being derived from the Hurricane hull. CCP Darwin explains that the idea behind this change was that the ship with the similar weapons bonuses should also be based on similar hulls.

A Message Regarding "Hyperdunking"
CCP Falcon explains that the tactic called "Hyperdunking" is not considered being an exploit. "Hyperdunking" involves leaving a grid where a criminal action occurs to draw away CONCORD and reshipping to continue shooting at a target. But of course game design is always monitoring the game and will update and change game mechanics when needed to maintain a proper balance as CCP Terminus explains.

Tiamat release on February 17
Friendly Fire
Friendly Fire (FF) allows corporation members to engage in aggressive acts with each other without fear of repercussion from CONCORD. With Tiamat corporations (more specifically: CEO and directors) will have the option to enable or disable FF within the corporation.

The SKIN system will be very versatile
CCP Terminus confirms that the SKIN system is very versatile. For example is it possible to give pilots automatically access to SKINs once certain triggers are toggled (for example certain standings). However, those advanced mechanism won't be available in the initial release - the potential exists though nonetheless.

Conversion of current ship paints into SKINs
The transition from current ship paintings to the SKIN system is still being worked on and details will be made available later. At this point it is already clear though that some ship paintings will not be purchasable in the New Eden Store.


Test server and testing
The animaton of the Svipul is not finished yet
If you encounter any issues with the animation of the new Tech-3 destroyer, the Svipul, then don't be alarmed. The animation is not finished yet!

Skillpoint rewards on Singularity are not available in Tranquility
If you participate in one of the regular mass tests on the test server, you will receive (within limits) a reward of 2 million free skill points. Those skill points are only available on the test server and not on Tranquility. But of course you also have the wonderful reward of knowing that you helped the devs and the player community!

/moveme command available on Singularity
A new feature is available on Singularity as CCP Somebody announced. If you type on Singularity in any chat the command /moveme...

I clarified my post to make clear that that was a specific part of the command ship rebalance and not necessarily a general principle. Sorry for any confusion!

On a similar tangent - ship models being kept as they are and only newly constructed ships taking on the new model would be cool.

It gives the game a sense of active evolution of technology, as you see largely older hull variants becoming less common and the newly built designs taking their place.
