So....ummm, about that ship...(me and mine are calling it the "Whatsit", makes just as much sense)...why even have it 'on the test server' if we literally can't do anything with it. It's industry can't be done, and it has no model...otherwise, the ship seems perfectly fine atm...providing you don't want to fly it, or build it...

Chill, bro.

I have a feeling that Svipul is short for Sylvester Puddy Tat - this is probably the ancient Matari name for an ancient god of the past that had dominion over both felines and flying creatures. Over the ages, the name was shortened and revised into it's current form - mainly do to limited attention spans and hand held devices of the past that forced users to substitute various letters, numbers and symbols for actual words.

So... Matari T3 Dessie: The Sylvester Puddy Tat... \Big smile/ !!!

Audio engine version upgrade. We especially appreciate all those who test with sound!

I love EVE sound, it's always up, including music. but how do I test sound? I did an Aura comparison and it's a little bit crisper. that is all i noticed.

the new menu that is now colored to our UI scheme seems a bit slower.

Svipul is actually well chosen name. :D I like it.

Turn the music off so you can hear everything properly, then undock and do things. Use MWDs and ABs. Fire different types and sizes of guns. Turn on hardeners and reppers and scanners. Make things explode. Make your own ship explode.

You know. Trigger things that make noise, but in an organized sort of fashion.

Really it's not so much the fidelity or anything we're looking for, as much as it is the absence or breaking of a sound that used to work. Also I've been informed that the engine upgrade isn't actually in the build until tomorrow - sorry for misinformation folks.

I think the glow over icons in ISIS looks really good and I know better what I am selecting or mousing over.

The right click option on Tranquility is also more responsive.

Any chance of implementing a chase camera that can give a permanent third-person view? Would be particularly useful with manual movement.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

With the current build (858778), the Svipul - which is now seeded to the market \o/ - shows misplaced elements in the preview (affected elements).

Edit: When piloting the ship, this issue doesn't occur. All three modes and the transitions look fine to me, Defensive, Sniper, Speed.

Thanks for the feedback. Just for clarity - you're saying that there's a performance hit on Sisi based on current TQ behaviour when using the right click menu?

Yes, only by looking at the responsiveness. It looks like there is a bit of delay when hovering a mouse cursor over the right click menu brackets, but I am not sure if it is actual performance delay or a graphical one.

The overshield on the Drifer Battleships cannot be seen if the user is color-blind. That shade of blue is too close to the normal grey used in the other health bars.

I hope you devs will figure out dynamic thruster effects soon as it's the only thing missing for Confessor and Svipul to look perfect

Personally I would prefer a much more detailed Svipul model, like the large version of the concept art render that was posted in the relevant devblog, but I can understand why they didn't use that one.

The Confessor just feels a lot more detailed to me than the Svipul does. Though, it may still be even more WIP than it appears.

There was some mention recently of updates or improvements to the "Medium" shader setting so that it would be closer to the PBR "High" version. Is this still moving ahead, and if so - is this something we're likely to see yet in Tiamat or a future release?

Are we going to see any of the new Battleship skins finally released in Tiamat, or are these waiting on the updated skin change?

We are revisiting PBR entirely. As we mentioned in the devblog we wanted to go back and do another pass, which is currently being worked on. Unfortunately this will not be for Tiamat.

Appreciate the update. The dev blog mentions a PBR pass for structures in Tiamat; does this include T3 cruisers as well or will they be in the subsequent PBR revision?
