Highlight Targeted Asteroids on Scan Results

When I target an asteroid, it gets a special icon in the overview, so that I can see which specific asteroid is targeted. But my survey scanner provides no indication of which rocks are currently targeted.

Since I usually target the largest asteroids (i.e., those with the most ore) first, my survey results are sorted by quantity. As an asteroid is mined, therefore, it shifts down the list after each scan. Finding it isn't so difficult when the target is less than 10 km away from my barge, since I can use the exact range to find it. But when there are 5 different Ombers at a range of 11 km, it can be a challenge to figure out which one of them I am currently shooting.

My initial idea would be for the survey scan list to be given some kind of "target lock" icon column. This column could be dynamic in nature, just as the overview is. It would work the same way as the overview, always showing which asteroids are locked at any given moment in time, and shifting targets when an old one is unlocked or a new one is locked. That would be my preference, but perhaps there are programming challenges there that I am not aware of. The targeting indicator column could also be static, in that it would simply show which rocks were targeted at the time that the last scan was performed.

If neither of those is possible, perhaps something more basic could be arranged. At the moment, I can select (and therefore highlight the row) of multiple asteroids in my survey scan results. I can use this feature to highlight the three or four asteroids that I am currently mining. But when I run a new scan, these selections are undone, and the new list has no selected asteroids. At the very least, could the player's currently-selected asteroids be re-selected once a new scan is complete?
