Can someone explain to me why a candidate for a Gallente political position would be "discredited" for body modding? I thought such things were a way of life in the Federation?

Apologies for being naive, I spend most of my time hauling cargo and painting combat miniatures. So I virtually live under a rock, so to speak.

Voice modification makes her disingenuous to the Gallentean people. Why didn't she tell us? Why is she hiding it?

If she can be swayed into changing her voice for her profession, what else can she be easily swayed into?

She is an entertainer. I suggest she sticks to that profession.

I do not believe the problem lies with body modding as such.

I believe the perceived problem is with false representation; the documents delivered to various media outlets seems to suggest that Serena Nova isn't real but a fabrication, a personality created for the entertainment industry.

The question many may be asking is how fabricated is the personality? Are people voting for a real person with real politic views or are those politic views also fabricated?

I suppose its inevitable that this kind of tabloid style character assassination would start up eventually. Before she started running for President I'm sure I saw hundreds of holo-rag articles alternatively fawning over her fashion choices or eviscerating her romantic ones. Sadly, those topics have more saliency to many Federation citizens than any crises on Caldari Prime ever will.

That's what her presidency would be. Fashion choices and holoreels. While we enjoy luxurious living here in the Federation, we expect our leaders to take the role of the President seriously. While it is clear that Serena Nova is an excellent entertainer, I have serious doubts about her ability to lead the Federation towards future growth and better economic opportunity for Gallenteans.

I look forward to her next project once she loses this election.

Everything about the Federation is dishonest and disingenuous.

As for the candidate herself, seems to me that she did what she needed to do. That makes her better than most gal-fed politicians in my eyes.

The accusation is somewhat stupid. No, you do not give away all the tricks of your trade. It is common knowlage that huge numbers of actors and musicians go through modifications in order to ply their trade with greater effect.

Studio musicians sound wonderful until someone goes to one of their concerts. This is like accusing someone of privately having a mole removed from their calf. Oh the scandle!

Except she isn't trying to become an actress or musician. She's trying to become President of the Gallente Federation.

That requires slghtly more than voice modification and script memorization.

As I said, she is a fine entertainer.... but she is no President.

I would prefer to rely on periodical checks of my mental health by professionals, and not by deluded gallentean loudmouth, who uses medical terms they don't acquainted with just insult those, whom they don't agree with.
