Can we please enable the use of emoji's in the in-game chat client? I feel like this would be a good addition. It could also help clean up the naughty language used in smack talk which is good for everybody

They are not even CLOSE to the same thing. Emojis are way more kawaii and have way more options

If you want pictures in-game, use ascii art.

That takes talent. It would help your trolling game here too.

No thanks. I rather not have childish things in this game.

Same here. I am old enough to express my emotions using a language. No need for these gimmicks, they are already everywhere.

No, this will only be abused by weeaboos. Written language is good enough for communication, and has been for thousands of years.

This sound terrible for the overall health of the community.

IdeaI truly shudder to imagine what local would look like in Jita and the other trade hubs. I won't even mention the sheer number of people I would have to hunt down and pod for using them in mails. Other then a few exceptions where it is difficult to deliver proper meaning in a pure text medium, such as using Roll to denote a sarcastic comment, I'm of the opinion that if you cannot convey your meaning with text alone, you need to make room in the gene pool for those who are.

Childish things like what? Is art childish? Are emojis more "childish" than a multitude of other behaviors that happen every day in New Eden?

Most of the contemporary art world is extremely childish,
but then art has nothing to do with it,
this is in the top "5 redundant thread topics".

And emoji and emcons/whatevergraphicdesignersaredoingtokeepthemselvesfedthesedays are functionality identical.

No.

I get enough of this in texts from my teenage daughter. I play Eve to escape this crap.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno
