Moving low volume items to Jita?

Your comments with the understanding both you and I have of the mechanics are fine, but in the context of the OP, they are misleading, if you don't agree with that fine, there is no need to get butthurt and post some black and white comment about not un-docking. That was not my point at all.

forum bickering is fine, even if it isn't it has been around as long as EVE so it makes no difference.

Everything I suggested to the OP stands.

EVE is a game of blow stuff up. There is a caveat to every scenario. It isn't 'finer points' because it's an absolute to every scenario.

Back to the top. If the OP wants to move 250 mill worth of low volume loot to Jita? He should just do it because forum potholes are just that and I see what you are doing as creating forum potholes. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I see it.

Not sure if you are trying to mislead the OP but I don't rely on either of these and kill people in his scenario on pretty much a daily basis.

When was the last time you saw anyone gank with Amarr ships?

Oracle is quite effective for killing failfit Occators. Although it is quite rare.

No you don't, not using the additional suggestions I made.

Or if you do, feel free to show me where you pop Kin/ Therm cruisers and battlecruisers in High Sec.

I run Jita to Essence all the time. Billions in hold. Never been ganked.

Be sure to try and skeer me with some rubbish about how you plan to sick a locator agent on me.

I like the cut of your jib. +1.

If you live in nullsec - consider probing down a wormhole route to empire. Scout it out in a cheap probing ship, then return with the stuff.

If you live in lowsec - stick it in an interceptor, and avoid systems with recent podkills, and fly direct to high.

The actual trip from highsec to Jita is quite safe if you are combat fitted (i.e. not a hauling ship) and carrying under a billion.

If you're an explorer, training into covops to haul those will also allow you to use those very covops for exploration, which they are good at.
I'm probably stating the obvious, but there it is.

If you are talking about nullsec route, then I second what was said before - navigating wormhole chains seem to be less of a hassle than running through k-space, depending on where you leave, your timezone and how merciful Bob is to you.

Wanna know a better way than almost anything that might be proposed to you?

load up that hauling ship, and take it to amarr, prices usually within 5% of jita, and theres almost NEVER people popping random ships by station, and theres NEVER an entrance queue
I think the issue is how to get it into highsec in the first place rather than how to get it to Jita. If it was just "how do I get through highsec to Jita", I'd tell them to use red-frog. As a younger player I'd even suggest they set up a well collateralised courier contract to me and I'd do a run for free.

Just don't autopilot in a T1 hauler and you will be fine.

Other trade hubs is a possibility.

A fast align ship like a T1 frig with nano fibers could get by pretty well as most don't assume you have a lot of isk to warrant a gank in high sec.

Only time I ever had problems is when I used a heavy tank iteron. Whatever you think is ranked enough, can always be ganked. If someone wants you dead in eve, you will die. No question about it.

So yeah, go somewhere besides Jita, or use a t1 exploration frig with great align time.

Supplying popular locations on the outskirts with various goods is always a great idea. Even wen missioning, I'll gladly pay double for ammo and semi-cheap modules in order to get what I need right then and there. I seriously doubt I am the only one.

Get that hauler packed to the walls, set your destination to 4-4 and go for it! I play for the rush, and you'll get a big one the more risks you take in EVE.

easy, and it's all about how big your cargo is.

Find the smallest ship that can carry your cargo without expanders - excluding shuttles and rookie ships.

Covert ships take precedence, with cloak fitted.

Fit speedy booster like nanofibre and inertia stabs and Damage control

If the cargo is big, go for the Transport ship that has a fleet hanger (which can't be scanned) and fit for fast warp-out and a tank.

Don't afk, and be hot on your warping, don't hang around.

Don't travel at a weekend, anytime. Try midweek, and avoid peak times (ie EVE time 6pm till midnight).

Don't be afraid to split the load if it's going to fit in two covert trips instead of one hauler.

If you can have a scout going ahead, look out for concord on gate, or several small ships 'hanging around the gate' - if you see them, just log, and try again tomorrow. (Waiting an hour or two won't make a difference).

:)

The more cautious and paranoid you are, the safer you'll be.

totally misread that ... yeah ... to high sec from where though. if from 0.0, then inty is your best bet if if can carry enough ... if not ... nothing less than a scout plus a transport. Ideally a scout ahead and behind you. at anyone time, your toons should be in 2-3 systems. The one behind can lag a bit ... but the one ahead should be visibile by the hauler as he enters the system, and then the scout should jump out. Go slow, and keep a firm eye on blobs on choke systems. Only travel after 2am EVE time, and before 4pm eve time, and never during saturday or sunday or national holidays (in any country).

Then you can have a modicum of safety.

Or ... get it to a JF pilot in 0.0 and pay them to get it to lo-sec.

Once in lo sec ... you only need the advance scout, and it's more looking for gate camps (rare), not chasers.

Get a T2 mamoth. Or whatever its called. It is most unlikely that any group in high sec can kill your ship. In null sec. forget it.
