Where is documentation on CREST usage?

Where should I look to get started with CREST usage?

I have read the "general" philosophy description of CREST. I would now like to actually go program.. (My initial learning project, obtain market data for particular items at particular systems / stations).

I want to do this "the CREST way", to avoid some of the problems described in the forums.

Please help point me in the right direction.

Not a great deal of documentation at the moment, I'm afraid.

If you can read PHP https://github.com/fuzzysteve/CrestLibrary is probably of interest. The example script works with market data, depending on no assumptions (other than the location of the source, the names of the endpoints, and the return format of specific versions of endpoints.)

The short version is:

Everything should come from CREST. If you want to know about buy orders for a specific region, you get the region resource, then use the appropriate section of the resource to get the link for the buy orders. You then (after caching it) pass it the url of the item you want to know about. Strictly, you /could/ assemble the urls yourself. This is where you make Foxfour cry. He might move it, and that would break your code. if you're retrieving the list first, then it'll just continue working.

Woo! CSM XI!
