....if you do not hack the cans?

I saw a suggestion to "farm" these sites by not hacking the cans and running it for 4 days.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

They can be farmed by leaving the trigger of some wave on the site. You can salvage the sleepers if you jam the last remaining sleeper.

How would you farm it then?

I was thinking you could clear the entire site of sleepers, do not hack the cans, after D/T the sleepers will fully respawn and you have another 100M for the taking.

Can this be done?

It used to work that way, but they changed it. From what I can remember the last time we ran one the sites now despawn after killing the sleepers regardless of hacking the cans or not. We haven't bothered to leave a 1st wave trigger to see if they stick around however.

Figured as much. If there wasn't so much traffic ( and 4 holes) in my C3 today, I would have tried it. I will next time I get some privacy and let you know..

AFAIK the only ones that work that way are the C1 sites--you can clear the NPCs, leave the cans, and the site won't despawn. Higher-class data/relic sites despawn as soon as there's no one in the site after the last trigger has been killed regardless of whether or not you leave the cans.

Info may be out of date--if so, sorry

Nope, you still have time to do the cans there.

The farming thing I haven't heard of until now but crazy that I am, I will try that out.

from my understanding and what i have seen a good few months back is this,

c5-6 u can farm as you kill cap escalation and right down to the last trigger of first wave no touching cans then DT first wave total re spawns and the cap escalation wave,

c4 down if you don't touch cans and kill all waves down to the last npc and then DT you will only get the last wave re spawn, if you kill off the initial wave but leave the last trigger and no touching cans it re spawn just the first wave again

all of the above can then be done for the whole 4 days duration until they de spawn from time,

now c5-6 space means bank due to all the sleeper bs cap escalation waves
c4 and down you don't get escalation waves so over the 4 days you only really making a few mill isk not hundreds of mills,
so in reality there is no real need to farm anything in c4 below apart from totally wiping the sites out.

if this has changed since beginning of last year then i apologize for duff info lol :)

I actually tested this yesterday on a c2 relic, cleared the sleepers just before DT, left the cans and the site/sig was gone after DT.

We used to farm data/relic site escalations in C5 space, i can't remember if we left the trigger or not but something makes me think we didn't.

So my guess is that sites capable of escalations will have the escalations respawn after DT but those that don't escalate (C1-C4 sites) don't respawn.

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

This can be a usual despawn as well.

for me as well it's some time ago, but in C1 and C2 Sleeper Hacking Sites you could farm them until the signature despawns or the cans were hacked and you could destroy all sleepers.

Though this state of informated dates back probably summer 2014 as I haven't done those sites since that time.

It looks like there are several roumors around and we all, who are interested in that info have to test that for 3-4 days.
