FPS lock question again.

Got silent 39° on my gtx760 with Interval one enabled, but input lag is noticeable.
I tried to turn Interval setting to immediate, my fps jumped to 300+, but temperature goes up to 50+ and maybe more and fan noise becomes audible.
When I'm capping fps to 120 with Nvidia inspector temperature increases anyway, seems like 300+ frames drawn on GPU but only 120 shown.
Is it possible to cap frames to 80-160 without GPU overheating?
