The most neglected hulls design and use wise

Lately the improvements to the more popular ships have been epic. As I recall from years ago it all started with the Scorpion redesign and then the Primae was the first ship to have the "force fielded bay" effect that everybody went ga ga over and that attempt at promoting PI by giving them away resulted in pressure to use that hull again, and hence the Noctis.

Last night while looking at BPs, I realized that while there is much ado about popular "staple" purposed ships, and the usual hatred of the Imicus (for being so ugly that it's going to be left alone just because), there are some hulls that are not even on the radar.

So what do you think is the most neglected hull? Not the ugliest, nor for having suffered from being "improved" either, but not even thought about any more in both use and appearance?

My two entries for this list of Most Neglected:

Navitas (the "guppy" or Brutix Larva as it is sometimes referred)
Burst

Vigil.

The T2 version sees some use, but the T1 Vigil... I have never seen one in space in my 5 years of playing.

If they touch my Burst I'll...I'll...BURST!

Truthfully one of my favorites in my generous stable. I have always loved it. Now it sports a rack of shield supports, I'm always itching to get it out of the stall and cruise around fixin' shields. Seriously, it's fabulous as is in small-gang, freighter/cruiser pvp.

I'm almost exclusive to Minmatar vessels, and I'm quite happy with them. SO...if it ain't broke, don't fix it....PLEASE.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

For a long time I used them as salvagers. Always good cargo space.

Ah yes the Bantam continues to be the Caldari version of the Imicus but that too is so ugly it's loved, like a platypus.

What of the Celestis? Has there been any treatment for the flying banana? I don't recall anything about it since I flew one in 2006.

Bellicose, although the T2 versions are sought after now.

Update the Rupture model please!. Nail guns aren't fantastic.

Give it some more fins, or sails - with its Ladar targeting and its long target range it needs them.

Oh, and the stabber or vagabond could use a dorsal fin on that rear platform.

I really enjoy the design of spaceships in eve not necessarily because they are the most original (everythings been done before) but more because of the finesses and development of the hulls over time. Well done.

If I had any issue it's that I come back and a hurricane is now a slepnir, et al. Drives me a bit mental.

I beg to differ. Nail guns are fantastic and have many uses. They are however not aesthetically pleasing (function over form).
So in that respect, you're right on the Rupture model.

Also since PBR, it also looks like it's made of boring matte plastic that nobody bothered coloring or anything. The Rupture is one of the ships that got shafted hardest by the PBR update.

Even outside of looks, the Rupture can't compete with similar ships of other races. The Maller, Moa and Vexor have far better tank and damage (either through projection or raw DPS), and even a couple of attack cruisers can outdo the Rupture in both damage and tank (Omen, Thorax). The only thing the Rupture really has going for it is the "utility" high slot which it has too little PG/CPU available to make full use of it without sacrificing the rest of the fit. With the empty high slot, the Rupture effectively has only 1 damage bonus, since the 25% damage bonus serves to bring its 4 autocannons up to 5, to be on the same level as all the other 5-weapon combat cruisers. This is, of course, on top of autocannons having the most anemic damage in the game.

/rant

tl;dr: CCPlz... Rupture needs love.

In general Minmatar hulls seem to get used the least.

The vigil used to be the staple ninja salvaging ship. It was VERY widely used.

Back around 2009-2010 Minmatar were referred to as "WINmatar" and Gallente were the clown ships.

And drakes...

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me if it's not a Gallente ship it's pretty neglected.

The Rupture, by the way, used to be popular as being "piraty" since it looks like the ass-end of a sailing ship.

True story.

Minmatar have never been win-ships ... except maybe the 'phoon-age around that time, but that's just one ship. lol

I used to fly one around when I needed a fast frigate just to quickly do some shopping and pick things up in near by systems. I thought it was kind of cool looking.

I would love the vigil hull if it was horizonal rather than vertical, looking a bit like the hound.
