Actually its not a bad idea. Salvaging could be interesting...

But what are the good ways to find the salvage sites? I am far from having the skills for the combat probe. And like I said I don't care much for ninja salvage.

Are the missions always happening at the same location in space?

Oh and how do you get you coordinates?

Thanks.

No, they always change.

There are two ways to get coordinates:
1) Warp to the mission runner while he's doing the mission.
(Easy to do if he's nice enough to invite you into a fleet, otherwise you have to probe him down.)
2) The mission runner makes a bookmark and then transfers the bookmark to you, most likely with a contract. This is how Pro Synergy works.
If you drag&drop a bookmark into your inventory, it becomes an item, which can be traded in station or via contract. (Not via the market though, as the market only works for commodities, i.e. groups of items that are all identical.)

So I played with D-Scan lately and its interesting. Still have a few questions:

- in the UI, is there a way to move to columns around? I would like to have "distance" as the first one.

- is the only way to filter is by setting the Overview?

- can the items identified with D-Scan be colour coded...same as the overview? That way Hostiles can be RED and very obvious

- when in system map, is there a way to remove the text bixes that describe the objects on the chart? They take all the "real estate"

- when using the stsr map to "aim" is it considered that directly UP (so the top part of the starmap) is where you are pointing at?

- in tbe star map, can you click on an object and automatically scan in that direction?

- in the starmap, is there a way to have the scanned zone highlighted In any way so you know what you are scanning?

Thanks for the help

I just wanted to chime in that the One mystery at a time series of forum threads is great. I see lots of content generation in the OPs future. Pirate
