2 Quehons...

Warfare Links-

It says in the descriptions of them that to boost the fleet you have to be set as the fleet booster...

Does this mean that ONLY the ONE pilot set as fleet booster can boost the fleet? Or... does each wing booster pilot also boost the fleet? OR... Does it mean that the pilot set as fleet booster boosts the fleet and those set as wing boosters ONLY boost their wing?Where do squadron boosters fit in on this... is that even a thing or am I totally out of touch here?

Also, for drone ships... do warfare links boost ANY of the effects of the drones for drone ships?

When you are the booster for a tier, that means that you pass down all boosts given to you, or that you can give, down to those in the tier below you. So, if you are the squad booster, you boost everyone in your squad with the boosts that you are providing, plus you pass the boosts from above down to them. If you are the wing booster, you pass down to the squad boosters, who then pass on to the squad. Same if you were in the fleet position. This, of course, assumes that the wing and squad commanders have the appropriate leaderships skills and such.

The booster stands proxy for the commander, so it's easiest to think of them in the commander position - boosters can then apply to everyone for whom they are heirarchicly responsible and with whom they have an intact link; therefore a squad booster boosts only their squad, a wing booster boosts everyone in every squad in their wing as long as those squads have qualified commanders...etc
Only the greatest boost bonuses apply but if you were in a squad with appropriate command structure and with a Claymore set as squad booster and a Damnation as wing booster you would recieve boosts from the Damnation's armoured and information warfare links as well as the Claymore's siege and skirmish links (this is not the only way it can work but should be a nice, clear example).

Boosting is done in a hierarchy. Boosters send their links to the pilots below them.

For example.

- Fleet booster (links armor)
- Wing booster (links skirmish, receives armor from above)
- Squad Booster (links Information, receives armor+skirmish from above)

Since command positions are only a few and nearly anyone in your fleet that actually fights is stuffed into squads, usually all links sent from above you (means you receive links from your Squad Booster, but not from another squad's booster) apply to the combat ships in question.

The Squad Booster can be a squad member aswell and doesn't require a Squad Commander position to do that. I'm uncertain about wing/fleetboosts, but since I put my links into the WC/FC position anyways to link the fleet from there, I'd say those need to be up there. Like 0% certainty on that info.
