So you have 50M+ SP, and you still play solo because:

You are anti-social, and fear crowds of 2 or more people.

You were born without a tongue and can not use voice coms.

You are afraid the 3 capital ships you have will be lost in some alliance battle, and no one will care.

Bubbles make your implants go away.

You flew drunk in an CTA OP 1 time, and now nobody trusts you.

Learning X-07AB type system names reminds you of Algebra.

You are not the boss and others are not as effective or precise as you are.

You have a problem with authority becuase you are not the authority.

You trusted this guy in Jita and lost alot of ISK.

All the minerals you mine are free, just look at your wallet.

Opportunity Cost is a thinly disguised way of saying no matter what you do, you could do something else more profitable.

You want to play with others, but until ALL your skills are 5, you should probably wait.

This is E V E, and you trust NO ONE.

Show me on the doll where the bad CEO touched you.

Assume everyone in 0.0 is either a teenage/hipster/edgy-try-hard goon or goon wannabe. Indeed, isn't all of EVE? CSM, CCP, bots, bad posters.

None of those are the reason I don't since you didn't mention the ultimate freedom of being alone. That said, many of them made me lol. +1

If anyone ever looks at you and says,_ "Hold my beer, watch this,"_  you're probably going to want to pay attention.

I dont like playing someone else's game. I prefer solo play becuase Corps always have an agenda. There is always some alpha-dog in charge. Demand you be there and shun you if you dont perform to their expectations. That sounds an awful lot like "work" and I have a RL job for that BS. That was my first expereince with corps and Alliances in EVE.

So Im my own boss now and dont have to answer to anyone...which makes the game FUN!!!

It's also more of a challenge to play solo.

Because when I was a year old and actively looking for a corp I couldn't find many that didn't suck. I applied to one and was not accepted. I tried Hub Zero and the guy in charge reneged on our understanding. I joined an alliance, only to be backstabbed by them in less than a month.

Now, 2 years later and with 5 toons (albeit 1 I bought on the bazaar) over 65M SP, I simply no longer have any interest in starting at the bottom of the totem pole. I don't play MMO's to be someone else's *****. I wish that open (or even by invitation) PVP roams were far more common, as I tend to enjoy them. But saluting somebody else's flag holds no interest for me anymore.

I'm about mutual respect, not sucking, and flat power structures. Unfortunately that means I'm usually on my own.

As a father, and likely your senior, I was asking a valid question to gain some insight into a topic I hold near and dear.

BTW, it is not all about you.

Truth be told.

My wife's friend has a teenage boy with Asperger's. Having had a few interactions with birthday parties and such, you shed much light and wisdom.

I'm 42 and a father of 2. Your question is valid, but your arrogant multiple choice answer list reeks of teenage angst, sorry pops..

Well said. I believe you are correct on the angst, could be my 14 year old rubbing off on me. And you should know how easy it is to mistake confidence for arrogance. I got 3 soul sucking welps, and am your junior... so mad props to you, old man.
